Commodities Operations and Technology is a part for the Global Macro technology organization within Citigroup.  The Index trading technology team is located across locations with a primary focus in London and Pune. This role is for a technical lead for Index trading technology team. The role is based in London and requires both technical team leadership and strong business knowledge. The role also includes relationship management with the traders and multiple support partners (such as legal, compliance), operations, development and support teams to ensure that we are all delivering a quality solution in line with the overall business and technology strategy.

Role / Position Overview

The role is to manage and drive the technology initiatives for the index desk from London working with Trading and Support partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for the definition of the approach and the management of delivery within their teams and with other teams.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Be hands on in development of core systems that are in java/.NET and hosted on Linux/cloud and not just contribute, but drive/lead adopting cutting edge technology.
  • Be a subject matter expert with a track record in the index and exotics business, including index composition, risk management booking and associated trade lifecycle events.
  • Establish strong relationships with the global business stakeholders, Technology team and drive/develop and implement complex projects.
  • Ensure transparency of project deliveries to all stakeholders
