Senior Full Stack Developer - £80k/£120k - InsurTech - London

Senior Full Stack Developer. My client are a rapidly growing InsurTech company based in London and they are looking for a Technical Lead / Full Stack Developer to join their team andhelp contribute and evolve their web-based SaaS platform.

The Senior Full Stack Developerwill have strong front end and back end skills. On the Front end ; JavaScript and React.js and experience with JSON and modern web technologies. Ideally the Senior Full Stack Developerwill also have some experience of Python, AWS, Docker/Terraform. You will be working alongside exceptionally talented colleagues in a genuinely unique business.

Your front end work primarily relates to the powerful React components and API that have been designed and maintained for clients to build model interfaces: it is likely to focus on the internal data connections to the backend and related internal data structures, but there's a lot of interesting work here as they expand their offering to include more complex, interactive functionality.

Requirements for the Senior Full Stack Developer:

•Having worked in a start up / or a high peforming smaller team

Strong background in Front and Back end engineering; mainly JavaScript, React.js and Python, JSON.

•Experience designing, building and maintaining APIs, micro services and data pipelines

•Experience with building and deploying code using Docker

•Knowledge and passion for UI/UX, web applications, and responsive designs.

•Knowledge of data structures, algorithms

•Understanding of design patterns, object-oriented development and test-driven development

•Passion for writing clean, modular, well-commented, readable and reusable code


Responsibilities:


•Working closely with Senior Leadership in carrying out projects i.e taking architectural ownership for various critical components and systems

•Developing a scalable and highly performant system with everything this entails (automation, availability, monitoring, resilience)

• Developing web interfaces to applications running in the public and private cloud

•Designing, developing, and testing interface components that our clients use to build models

•Using data, feedback and analysis to lead and manage customer-facing product decisions

•Contributing to reviews, retrospectives and planning discussions for technical, product and company decisions

•Communicating and documenting solutions and design decisions

As the Systems Analyst you will integrate into the transformation team, and you be required to introduce requirement engineering policies, best practises and process as part of the wider system engineering initiative. The requirement management tool used will be DOORS

Role requirements:
* Extensive requirement management experience for complex systems using DOORS
* Experience in DXL scripting
* System modelling experience using sysML (currently use EA today, but tool not important)
* Extensive experience of requirement analysis
* Developing others through coaching and hands on teaching
* Proven experience working successfully in a project delivery team environment
