Your new company
This long established and highly successful eCommerce specialist are transitioning 2 static development teams to form 5 dynamic stream teams. As a result they are looking to recruit a number of PHP Developers, with this role being the first senior appointment into their new Magento oriented team. This role will be based from their Poole head office, two minutes from the beach and on a direct train route to London. The company are highly profitable, have been experiencing year on year growth and have one of the best retention rates in the area.

Your new role
In a Dev team of over 20 people, it can often feel like your voice is ignored... well not here! You'll be encouraged to bring new ideas forward and suggest new and innovative technology that can improve the company offering.

Whilst not a software business the company has built a great reputation locally and has solidified their position as a 'go to' place to work for developers. The Development Manager is driving towards a team that works entirely on the infrastructure, be it replacement of legacy systems, upgrading the existing software or new website functionality. Releases will be rapid and project work will never last more than three months ensuring variety for the developers

The main function of this role will involve being the first developer in a new team, created to take on a challenge of migrating the business from our successful, custom built websites to Magento.

The company are hugely passionate about internal development and will create a career progression plan from day 1. It is a friendly, supportive environment and a company that offers real longevity.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have proven experience programming in PHP and be comfortable with frontend development skills including HTML, JavaScript and CSS (SASS). You should also be proficient in MySQL. As this will be a senior appointment, you should have hands on experience with Magento 1 or 2.

To ensure software quality, the team maintains and builds on a suite of automated UI end to end tests as well as individual unit tests and integration tests. The team is responsible for designing and implementing new test cases to cover new and changed functionality.
