Infrastructure Engineer, Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware

A global bank is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join their dedicated Server team that are responsible for all engineering and project work for their Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware and Citrix estate.

We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with very strong Active Directory experience to be the SME for all Active Directory upgrades, projects and engineering work across the bank. In addition to this you will get the variety of working on VMware, Citrix and SAN storage engineering when required.

Key Duties

We are urgently seeking a versatile and flexible Prince II Qualified Infrastructure and Network project focussed PM who can commit to a full-time contract in Cardiff.

Any financial services experience would be a real nice to have but we're essentially looking for a solid and confident Project Manager who can help manage a wide range of stakeholders and teams through a varied range of infrastructure based projects. Experience within Windows / Storage and Network upgrade projects would be particularly handy.

You'll be working for a really impressive financial client with a great location and working environment so please don't delay in applying if it might be something you could consider until the end of the year. Start date is likely to be the 13rd of April.

Further Role details:

You will form part of the Project Management team, reporting directly into a Programme Manager, and will be allocated a sub set of the projects to deliver. In addition to core Project Management skills you will also need to be able to demonstrate good communication and reporting skills, the ability to work independently, an understanding of business and commercial benefits and a strong customer service awareness.

*Creation and management of all project governance documents, including PID, RACI and Requirement documents
*Working with the technical resources to develop the project plan, implementation approach and resources required to deliver the projects
