In global markets, buy-side and sell-side professionals strive to achieve the best execution across multiple asset classes. The Bloomberg Professional service provides trading solutions and sophisticated analytics to meet these needs.

Our Team:
Our global markets electronic trading platforms connect to all Bloomberg and 3rd party Order Management Systems (OMS). This allows our clients to monitor, trade, allocate and perform transaction cost analysis (TCA) on their trades for each asset class and seamlessly interact with their chosen OMS.
We are looking for individuals with market knowledge and expertise to support our buy-side and sell-side clients across all asset classes.

What's the role?
You will start your journey by completing our comprehensive Analytics & Sales training program, covering all aspects of the financial markets: economic principles, market players and asset classes - while teaching you all there is to know about the functionality and analytical tools Bloomberg has to offer!
You will join one of our Analytics teams, delivering exceptional customer support to our clients while working towards an asset class specialism. Following the completion of your specialism, you will move into a team of passionate and high-performing electronic trading support representatives responsible for our suite of electronic trading products including FXGO (Foreign Exchange), EMSX (Equity) and FIT (Fixed Income).
Being part of the team means you'll be providing solutions to help service our existing clients as well as on-boarding new clients. You could go on to take up a Leadership position, or pursue a role in our Product or Implementations teams.

The role can be broken down into 3 core areas:
Client Service - At Bloomberg we pride ourselves on focusing on customer experience, providing our clients with the fastest and most knowledgeable solutions. In the role, you will use your product knowledge and acquired client intel to build and maintain credible relationships with your clients, create clear and up-to-date documentation of client needs, and actively communicate effectively with external stakeholders

Product and Domain Expertise - You'll know your customers' business, our competitors, and Bloomberg's product offerings. Keeping up to date with market trends while understanding the impact on our clients is essential. You will develop your knowledge of our products and customers' workflows, sharing and building this knowledge across your team.

Business Impact - This is the value-add brought to internal stakeholders, including Product, Sales, Implementation and Engineering. You'll be involved in generating leads and contributing to sales campaigns, prioritising product enhancement requests for our Product and Engineering teams, and providing valuable customer intelligence that drives product improvements and sales performance:

  • Ability to assist with product testing and project management work
  • Business fluency in English is essential.

We would love to see:

Integration Architect - Enterprise Technology Solutions
Financial firms rely on dozens of critical systems to develop and execute strategies, evaluate risk, track P&L, lead sales and trading, and handle settlement. The constant challenge is the complexity of integrating these systems so that data moves correctly across the enterprise, at higher speeds and lower costs. Building solutions in-house can take a large team and a larger investment. Integrators and consultants may not understand a firm's business model or data. That's where we come in.
Here at Bloomberg Enterprise Technology Solutions, we help firms run that complexity. Providing common tools, services and expertise, we enable firms to simplify technology relationships, which ultimately drive lower total cost of ownership, faster time to market and improved transparency. With our track record in delivering hosted solutions and our understanding of our customers' needs, we believe we are uniquely positions to help clients with this challenge.

What's the role?
As an Integration Architect in Enterprise Technology Solutions supporting our growing business, you will be responsible for technical integration between our clients and Bloomberg's premier applications. Integrations often involve crafting and deploying solutions for clients utilizing XML/FIX messaging and API's between their systems and the Bloomberg cloud.

Typical engagements can include the use of real-time XML and FIX messaging, data transformations; batch based processes, FpML, SWIFT messaging and other protocols as well as MQ, FIX, TCP/IP, FTP and ODBC connectivity between the client and the Bloomberg Cloud. In addition to data connectivity and transformations, our products also allow clients to code up to our API programmatically in either a server or desktop architecture.

We'll trust you to:
  • Design, configure and deploy the integration of trading interfaces between Bloomberg and clients
  • Manage your time effectively and to multi-task in a fast paced, performance driven environment
  • Be responsible for the successful completion of integration projects

You'll need to have:
  • A technology background, with some programming / scripting experience
  • Proven ability to independently drive successful engagements with customers
  • Capital Markets knowledge with understanding of buy & sell-side order management workflows
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage client expectations

We'd love to see:
  • Experience in ETL workflows / data transformations using XML / XSLT
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, FTP, MQ, ODBC
  • FIX, FpML, Web services, SWIFT experience
