Position Overview

Job Title: Salesforce Developer

Location: London

Corporate Title: Associate/Assistant Vice President

As part of our global team you will work on developing our strategic client servicing platform being built on the Salesforce environment. Your role includes specification, design, development, as well as the testing and rollout of new features. You are expected to contribute to the vision, understand our product roadmap, integrate business value with experience and contribute to building an engineering culture within the team. We expect the successful candidate to deliver high quality software and to be passionate about software engineering. You must have a proficient understanding of software development concepts. A good understanding of Cloud concepts is also required. You will also be responsible for developing easy to support software and liaise with our Site Reliability Engineering team to factor in their requirements.

Your key responsibilities

  • Design and development of new functionality and integration points into existing platforms
  • Work with the team on functional and non-functional requirements, technical analysis and design
  • Ensure that a robust, scalable and flexible solution is delivered
  • Coding and testing, reviewing team member’s changes
  • Document business and functional requirements, design decisions and Application Programming Interface (APIs)
  • Co-working with Quality Assurance team on test automation of new and existing functionality

Your skills and experience

  • Experience of design and development within the Salesforce application environment (Apex Classes/Controllers, Triggers, Salesforce Object Query Language, Salesforce Object Search Language, Visual Force, Lightning Components and Salesforce APIs
  • Experience with modern Systems development life cycle tools - Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, OpenShift
  • Knowledge of Java programming language and/or web development
  • User Interface development expertise, HyperText Markup Language, Javascript, jQuery and Cascading Style Sheets, and frameworks such as, AngularJS, Struts
  • Enterprise Integration Solutions (Apache Camel, Tibco Enterprise Service Bus, Mulesoft or Informatica) and Web API development
