From GP and consultant clinics to pharmacies, care homes and hospitals, the businesses software solutions are used by thousands of healthcare professionals daily.
They are on a mission to create software that provides healthcare professionals with the strongest possible digital foundation from which to deliver enhanced patient outcomes. At the same time, they are committed to facilitating and enabling a digitally connected healthcare environment which works towards connecting primary and secondary care software systems and with the goal of advancing patient care.
 
Outline of role:
 
They have a need to recruit a talented Senior Software Developer with experience in Java and C# development with practical knowledge of programming on large established projects as well as the ambition, initiative and the ability to work well as part of their Technology Team.
 
To be considered a part of the development team you will need to deliver new and enhanced functionality to the fastest growing pharmacy software product in the UK market. As part of the Team, you will be ensuring the quality delivery of software changes and enhancements on time.
 
The role is based in their London office, which is part of a wider Technology Team based in locations throughout the UK and Ireland.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve the existing integration Java and C# code
  • Maintain and improve the existing application Angular and Java code
  • Lead the design and implementation of new functionality
  • Collaboration – working closely with colleagues in the Development Team and across the wider business to continually improve the company product
  • Working with the team to manage the delivery of development projects and initiatives as per schedule and with the required level of quality
  • Document and demonstrate effective solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments
  • Perform code reviews to maintain coding standards
  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
  • Ensure software is up to date with latest technologies and contribute to the effective Data Governance including Data Security, Quality and Integrity.
  • Any other duties, which the business may require.

 
Experience required

  • An excellent understanding of all of Java (essential)
  • Basic knowledge of C#
  • Deep knowledge of all the following frameworks: Angular, Spring (Boot, Cloud Config, Cloud Stream, Integration)
  • Knowledge of the following would be favourable: Typescript, git, Gradle, Maven, OAuth, OpenID Connect, RabbitMQ, Spring Retry, Spring Security
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role working with similar technologies
  • Willingness to learn, and help educate others
  • Experience in software for community pharmacy or healthcare would be advantageous
