As a Lead RPA Developer you will be joining our Tax Technology Consulting team which enables the development and adoption of new technologies within the Tax line of service.

You will be focused on designing and building end to end automation process solutions using UI Path and other technologies that meet our business requirements for process improvement. You will work within project planning constraints, owning development solutions and have a high level of exposure to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business.

The RPA Developer will use their programming background and experience to deliver automation solutions, based on pre-defined and explained requirements, co-creating solutions with the functional or technical process experts.

Key responsibilities

  • Leads a team of junior RPA developers
  • Develops the automation of PwC internal and client business processes.
  • Keeps the RPA Technology Lead up to date with the status of development, issues and impact on related development / projects.
  • Develops and delivers high quality automated processes to agreed specifications within the PwC RPA Framework, creating reusable knowledge assets for each automation project.
  • Utilises the Agile methodology to deliver automations, working alongside the users, subject-matter-experts, analysts and project manager to understand, assess, replay and deliver business process automations to agreed specifications and meeting the business requirements.
  • Ensures documentation is well maintained.
  • Ensures quality of coded components by performing thorough unit testing.
  • Works collaboratively with testers during the UAT phases to fix assigned bugs with quality.
  • Reports status, issues and risks to technology leads on a regular basis
  • Improves skills in automation products by completing automation certification.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • At least a year of hands-on experience with RPA Tools, including UiPath. However, individuals with an interest in RPA and 3-5 years of experience in other programming-related role will be considered too.
  • Good understanding of programming concepts and programming background in any coding language such as VB.Net, VBA, C#, JavaScript and Python
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Great networking skills and the ability to influence outside of own department / team

Job Title: Senior Automation Tester (C#)

Our Risk, Finance and Treasury Technology team (RFT) is a global division across the UK, US, India & Czech Republic. We deliver the technology services for RFT, working in partnership with business customers to develop and implement long term strategic IT solutions. We support more than 450 applications and a user base of over 7000+ staff.


The Market Risk team is responsible for managing the risk to the group’s earnings or capital due to changes in the level or volatility of prices. It includes risk arising from changes in interest rates, credit spreads, commodity prices, equity prices and foreign exchange levels.


As the Senior Automation Tester within this function, you will define the strategy and plan for the increasing automated test coverage of the existing code base and integration points. We need a logical and organised individual to quickly solve complex problems with a great degree of independence.


What will you be doing?


• Produce/update automated regression test packs to test new and amended software or services
• Lead the technical testing of applications and ensure the QA team adheres to best practices
• Ensure the software needs the functional and technical expectations set by users and IT stakeholders
• Execute the tests, raise and track bug reports/incidents, provide sufficient details for the Dev team to investigate
• Expand automated testing frameworks
• Actively participate in meetings with BA’s and Development team to clarify requirements and to drive the project, conduct test case reviews to ensure they accurately capture business functionality.


What we’re looking for:


• Strong Automation Tester using C# to write test scripts

Building relationships and trust with Front Office and Middle Office teams, as well as other technology teams
Delivering solutions within a DevOps environment with a relentless focus on automation of testing and deployment via TeamCity, SpecFlow, Selenium and similar tools
Manage stakeholders, BAs and team heads to create functional solutions which are consistent with target architecture, and meet the stakeholders’ strategic requirements
Create opportunities for development teams to maximise the effective use of resource across the teams


What we’re looking for:


Experience with JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3
Experience of C# .Net server side development covering and SQL Server basic knowledge
Risk domain expertise 
Experience of managing a Software Delivery Team

Experience of working within the financial industry would be beneficial

Job Title: Automation Tester
Location: Glasgow


Our Risk, Finance and Treasury Technology team (RFT) is a global division across the UK, US, India & Czech Republic. We deliver the technology services for RFT, working in partnership with business customers to develop and implement long term strategic IT solutions. We support more than 450 applications and a user base of over 7000+ staff.


The Market Risk team is responsible for managing the risk to the group’s earnings or capital due to changes in the level or volatility of prices. It includes risk arising from changes in interest rates, credit spreads, commodity prices, equity prices and foreign exchange levels.


As an Automation Tester within this function, you will define, execute and reviews tests and tests evidences with the objective to demonstrate software meets the functional and technical expectations set by users and IT Stakeholders. The key driver is to create comprehensive automated tests to shift away from manual testing where possible.

This is a fantastic role for someone more focused in manual testing, but who has an appreciation of scripting in C# / Java and looking to move into a more automated position.

What will you be doing?

• Acquire understanding of specific market risk systems to be able to define test plans for given projects
• Create suite of tests to ensure all key user journeys and integration points have suitable coverage
• Raise and track bug reports/incidents, provide sufficient details for Dev team to investigate
• Develop new functional and regression tests
• Expand automated testing frameworks
• Set up, configure and maintain test environments
• Adhere to team standards and best practices, propose improvements to the development/testing process.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong manual testing exposure, with a desire to move more into automation (C# scripting)
• Strong Selenium and / or JIRA exposure
• Full testing lifecycle exposure.

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Any exposure to automation testing using C# to write test scripts would be beneficial
• Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL, MongoDB
• Used to working in an Agile environment
• Excellent communication skills.
