A fantastic client of mine based in Central London are currently looking for a Data Scientist to come on board a permanent basis starting ASAP working with a large financial services company in London.
 
This is an exciting opportunity where the successful Data Scientist will be working in a vibrant London based office. The company have a relaxed environment making this a fantastic place to work!
 
They are looking for a Data Scientist who has had strong experience within Data Science commercially, with a very strong experience using Python across this.
 
The Data Scientist will also have a solid experience in building different machine learning models, while also being comfortable doing this on a very technical level.
 
The Data Scientist will also be exposed to big data, also working on cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
 
The Data Scientist will also be able to engage with non-technical and technical stakeholders, being able to provide detail in both forms to the stakeholders, while also taking requirements from the client to then produce an outcome.
 
Overview

Manchester - Software Architect - Salary £50k to £75K depending on experience - Space systems

Our client Is a leading provider of next generation satellite communications systems based on their innovative in house chipsets. They develop a line of satellite communication modems with Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Electronically Steered Multi Beam Antennas (ESMA) to some of the most advanced and exacting global standards. They are expert in all aspects of satellite communication and have full in-house development capabilities. They support delivery of the smallest VSATs and multi-beam electronically steered antenna arrays for a variety of mobile applications and services.

Your role is to lead on the design and technical coding standards, tools and platform selection for the company’s satellite ground systems. You will be experienced in architecting and implementing satellite protocols such as DVB-S/DVB-RCS. A background in satellite technology is desirable but not essential as additional training will be provided to acquaint you with the nuances of this highly specialised sector.

Main Duties:

+ Defining network communications systems (IP networking & routing) 

+ Object Oriented Design (OOD) and unit testing using C/C++

+ Lead responsibility for the writing of full technical code specifications

+ Working across multiple disciplines to achieve results

Skills and Experience Required: 
+ Expert in IP networks with embedded C/C++ 

+ Knowledge of TDD, Python, FCAPS and embedded operating systems

+ Experience of embedded processors, e.g. ARM, MIPS, RISC-V and DSP

+ Experience using Web APIs (REST, MQTT) and message queues
