About the role
The role will be based in our head office, with a great location with transport links from main stations Fenchurch St, Tower Hill and London Bridge and is a stone throw from St Katherine’s Dock. At an exciting time for us, you will be leading our Digital content team, reporting into the Senior Digital Experience Manager
Management of Alzheimer’s Society’s digital content strategy, operational support of the wider digital strategy
Day-to-day management and development of the Society’s main website at alzheimers.org.uk, including the blog, and other digital platforms, products and services.
Delivery of specific digital projects, as well as a key role in the delivery of large scale digital products, platforms and services
Line management responsibility for direct reports within the Digital team
Subject matter expert for the wider organisation on the delivery and publication of digital content, working closely with the Knowledge and Publications Team
Representing the needs of people affected by dementia, communicating user needs and translating those needs into relevant, useful content
About you
- Reports to the Senior Digital Experience Manager
- Member of the Digital Services Management team
- Works with external agencies and suppliers, especially our web development agency
- Line management responsibility for direct reports within the Digital team
- Budget management responsibility as delegated
Digital product and service management
Champion a service design approach within the organisation, looking at our services as a whole and linking the digital elements to the wider organisational goals and service delivery strategy
Responsible for the development and implementation of strategy across the Society’s product portfolio, including a long-term plan to move products on to Drupal.
Making sure our products and services meet both business goals and user needs, and creating and maintaining roadmaps for these products, with input from the REST of the organisation (especially the digital fundraising team)
Overview of digital tracking, reporting and analysis tools on our experience channels
Responsible for A/B testing and optimisation, with knowledge of CRO and how it applies to our products and services – in collaboration with the Senior Digital Fundraising Manager
Management
Ensure employees are managed and supervised in accordance with Alzheimer’s Society’s policies and procedures
Proactively manage and support the Digital Experience team’s performance: setting and monitoring standards and developing a culture that is self-critical and results orientated
Create and embed new ways of working within the organisation, focusing on being user-first and inclusive, supporting the Head of Digital with digital transformation and change management within Alzheimer’s Society
Work with third party digital suppliers; building effective and collaborative relationships whilst managing contracts to ensure value for money and best-in-class digital products and service
