The company relies heavily on high performance computing to run complex mathematical models, and their software is mainly written is ASP. Net and they use Azure DevOps for source control, tracking and releases. They’re looking for several Cloud Engineers to join an established team of DevOps Engineers, to fast track they’re on premise to Azure migration and projects thereafter. This role will develop into a DevOps position, and is a rare opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to learn the needed skills to make this career transition.
Your new role will be working in an agile team working to deliver their exceptional software. You are joining the business at a very exciting time, which is migrating from on premise infrastructure to public cloud. There is a wide portfolio of cloud projects across the business which you will be involved in and you will be working with DevOps colleague across multiple regions.
To be successful you will need to have a strong system administration background, with hands on experience of Microsoft Azure. You will need to be proficient in PowerShell scripting and source control (preferably Git).
Your responsibilities will be to help with building Continuous Delivery pipelines for infrastructure and software and using Azure DevOps, Arm Templates, Azure CLI and Key vault. There will elements of windows server administration, basic IT Security and assisting ASP. Net / .NET software development teams.
