My client is looking for Software Developers of all levels, from Junior through to Lead Developers, managing the full development lifecycle ensuring all outputs are fit for purpose for the needs of the client.

You will be:

- Designing and creating the next generation of applications, leveraging the latest technology, ensuring the clients' solutions stay market leading- An integral part of agile development teams, actively participating in sprint and release planning, daily stand up's and retrospective meetings
- Actively participating in continuous improvement as part of shaping and delivering the Research and Development strategy, providing feedback to key stakeholders
- Involvement in the requirements gathering process and the subsequent analysis and production of system architecture document, functional specifications, installation and configuration and other documentation for each system
- For more senior roles you will be pivotal in coaching, mentoring and providing guidance to more Junior members of the team, helping them to shape their career in the field of Software Development

You will need experience in most of the following:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders throughout the business
- Extensive proven experience of the Microsoft .Net framework, with particular focus on C#
- Experience of Web Services, Web Development and Database development experience (focused on Microsoft technology stack)
- Experience of working within an agile development environment and a passion to deliver best practice in this area
- Ideally a background in software house and / or a financial services environment although this is not essential
- Enjoy learning and implementing new technology and techniques and showing innovation / entrepreneurial ideas

* To be able to work directly with business users in all aspects of design and development.
* Produce code that meets quality, coding and performance standards according to local IT guidelines and policies including Security, auditing and SOX requirements.
* Undertake Unit testing making full utilisation of automation tools available and working with the system test team to ensure tests are integrated as part of the overall test plan
* Work with off-shore partners in the review of requirements, functional and technical documentation and coding to ensure adherence to guidelines and policies.
* Work with the Business Analysts to ensure requirements and functional design is accurately captured in UML design models.
* Provide technical support for the production running of the core business systems, diagnosing faults and creating code fixes or data-patches to correct production issues.

Experience and skills required:
* Extensive commercial development experience using Oracle and PL/SQL
* Proven capability with C, Java, C# .Net
* Good technical understanding of Oracle database & tuning.
* Good knowledge of UML modelling. Thorough understanding of SOA, its impacts and drivers.
* Proven working knowledge of multi-tier developments from Client Server to Web based developments.
