We are a specialist digital skills college training and developing diverse higher-level apprentices into fantastic roles in the tech sector and transforming their lives in the process. We work with over 30 of the most cutting-edge companies on the planet. They choose us because of the amazing quality of our teaching, learning and support.

We are growing rapidly. We have nearly 250 apprentices on roll from a wide range of backgrounds: 75% are recent school leavers, though the oldest is 42. A third are young women, one third BAME and many come from tough backgrounds. They represent over 15 different nationalities. They are united by their passion and enthusiasm for tech!

Apprentices enrol on one of three degree apprenticeships: software development, data analytics or a more generalist tech consultant programme all of which are validated by the Open University. All of our apprenticeship training is currently delivered from our Whitechapel campus, just minutes from the tube and train station.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic professionals who are keen to take on a new challenge and demonstrate their skills at teaching, sharing their expertise across a range of tech related topics with the next generation of digital pioneers. We will invest in your development so that you can develop your skills and change the lives of thousands of young people with a passion for tech desperate to break into the sector.

At Ada we are committed to ensuring our apprentices and their employers are supported throughout their apprenticeship to the highest standards. To achieve this, we are looking for fantastic skills coaches with technical knowledge to manage a case-load of apprentices, providing guidance and support ensuring successful completion of their apprenticeship and progression into full time roles.

Within the role, coaches will maintain regular contact with apprentices & their employers providing continuous guidance throughout the apprenticeship, ensuring the students stay on track and are ready for their End Point Assessment.

Coaches will typically have a case-load of apprentices and will be expected to travel across our employers, organising and running progress reviews with apprentices & employer. This is a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of employers and apprentices, understanding their strengths and areas for development and helping them develop their skills and work effectively within their organisations and teams.

Nature of the role: Full time roles available

Responsible for: being an effective supporting and coaching a caseload of apprentices

Salary: £28,000 to £31,000 dependent on relevant experience

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and supporting apprentices through their apprenticeship programme
  • Carrying out reviews either in person or on the phone with apprentices and line managers to monitor progress against key milestones
  • Work with students to create and monitor their individual learning plans
  • Providing personal and professional support to apprentices and employers
  • Ensuring monthly performance updates on learners are provided to Ada
  • Providing rigorous feedback on work-based learning evidence
  • Managing & tracking of progression of all key programme elements
  • Assessing whether apprentices are ready to enter gateway and support them to prepare for their end point assessment
  • Ensuring all apprentice records are maintained and compliant to ESFA regulations

The Person will

  • have experience in either Software Development or Software Engineering
  • have knowledge of either Python, JavaScript or Java
  • have excellent communications skills and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  • ideally have experience monitoring and reporting on individuals progress or in coaching learners/apprentices in their career development
  • be able to effectively use systems, including e-portfolio tracking system, to record and track outcomes
  • have a professional working ethos to effectively build business relationships with employers
  • have an interest in technology and the digital industry
  • be organised and have strong time management skills
  • be adaptable and patient, able to manage many priorities at once and resolve concerns with empathy and compassion.

We are currently looking for an outstanding Data Analyst Programmer that has recently graduated or has a 1 – 2 years commercial experience, to join our growing analytics and data science team. If you are successful you will have the opportunity to work with blue-chip clients on cutting-edge data science and innovative data driven marketing solutions. Many of our clients are embarking on game-changing digital and data transformation projects that will fundamentally change how they operate. You will be in a pivotal position to help our clients and Profusion undertake these cutting-edge projects that have industry-wide impact. 

We are looking for individuals who are highly curious about discovering patterns and meaning in data from businesses and organisations. As a data analyst, you will be analysing large quantities of data, helping both our clients and Profusion to visualise hidden insights – which are then used to deliver campaigns through email, mobile, social and location marketing platforms. This post will also have a role in supporting with our brand-new Data Academy including writing data science curricula, preparing lectures, teaching and mentoring students and miscellaneous admin tasks in keeping things running smoothly. The data analyst should have experience in statistical analysis and machine learning and likely holds an MSc or PhD in maths, statistics, computer science or related field. The candidate will need to work closely with our clients to identify issues and use data to propose solutions. Building programmatic solutions that are replicable and clear to follow which will enhance the team’s productivity and results. The candidate will also assist in running the Profusion Data Academy including but limited to writing data science curricula, preparing lectures, teaching and mentoring students and miscellaneous admin tasks in keeping things running smoothly. 

  • Writing SQL queries to get the relevant data
  • Using R or Python to analyse the data pulled
  • Using Sisense to visualise data insights
  • Occasionally using Excel for some quick data analysis
  • Explaining to non-technical stakeholders the outcomes of the data analysis

Your role will be integral in ensuring on-going high standards of teaching for our degree programmes. We will work with you to identify which modules you have expertise in and give you exposure to new modules in a supporting role. You will have a significant part in shaping a new type of education institution that is on track to have a national impact.

Responsible for:

Ultimately you will lead the delivery and assessment of a range of modules for our degree programmes, creating and adapting content to ensure it is up to date and fit for purpose, facilitating other industry professionals to support you and co-ordinating with support lecturers and our apprenticeship skills coaches to ensure that the curriculum meets the apprentices’ needs.

As part of the wider teaching team at Ada, you will collaborate with your peers (including all our 6th form staff) and team members, giving and receiving feedback, planning ahead and supporting each other to ensure an ever-improving experience for our apprentices and a culture of continued professional development for all staff members.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Learn to be an effective lecturer for specific modules aligned to your experience and expertise
  • Lead the delivery of engaging course material to apprentices and ensure their educational progress
  • Differentiate your teaching style and learning materials for a diverse range of abilities and prior experience
  • Update and create new learning content for existing lectures and workshops preferably applying it to real world scenarios
  • Create and mark assignments and exams
  • Provide feedback to apprentices on their progress and provide additional support where necessary
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure that individualised support programmes are in place for learners such as those with Special Educational Needs
  • Supporting the programme management team with reviewing work-based evidence

The Person

Ideal Experience

  • EITHER: Professional experience in software development or data analytics
  • AND/OR Degree/Higher Apprenticeship in technical subject (Computer Science, Software Engineering, STEM with demonstrable use of technology)
  • Teaching experience

Bonus Experience:

We will invest in your development so that you can develop your skills and change the lives of thousands of young people with a passion for tech desperate to break into the sector.

Your role will be integral in ensuring on-going high standards of teaching for our degree programmes. We will work with you to identify which modules you have expertise in and give you exposure to new modules in a supporting role. You will have a significant part in shaping a new type of education institution that is on track to have a national impact.

Responsible for:

Ultimately you will lead the delivery and assessment of a range of modules for our degree programmes, creating and adapting content to ensure it is up to date and fit for purpose, facilitating other industry professionals to support you and co-ordinating with support lecturers and our apprenticeship skills coaches to ensure that the curriculum meets the apprentices’ needs.

As part of the wider teaching team at Ada, you will collaborate with your peers (including all our 6th form staff) and team members, giving and receiving feedback, planning ahead and supporting each other to ensure an ever-improving experience for our apprentices and a culture of continued professional development for all staff members.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Learn to be an effective lecturer for specific modules aligned to your experience and expertise
  • Lead the delivery of engaging course material to apprentices and ensure their educational progress
  • Differentiate your teaching style and learning materials for a diverse range of abilities and prior experience
  • Update and create new learning content for existing lectures and workshops preferably applying it to real world scenarios
  • Create and mark assignments and exams
  • Provide feedback to apprentices on their progress and provide additional support where necessary
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure that individualised support programmes are in place for learners such as those with Special Educational Needs
  • Supporting the programme management team with reviewing work-based evidence

The Person

Ideal Experience

  • EITHER: Professional experience in software development or data analytics
  • AND/OR Degree/Higher Apprenticeship in technical subject (Computer Science, Software Engineering, STEM with demonstrable use of technology)
  • Teaching experience

Bonus Experience:

  • Experience of academic assessment
  • Proficiency in programming in JavaScript or Python
