In specific, you can expect to be involved in the following:

• Help to deliver high impact ML solutions across the business to take advantage of market opportunities.
• Help to lead projects to design and implement end to end ML models and also update and optimise current models which are already in use across the business.
• Coaching and guiding members of the team or for the right candidate manage a team.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders so that you understand the businesses needs and ensure you provide strategic solutions.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful Lead Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience:

• Proven extensive experience developing and implementing Machine Learning algorithms from large data sets which have been structured and unstructured.
• Be an expert in mining large & very complex data sets using SQL, Hadoop, NoSQL and Spark.
• Have an in depth understanding of statistical modelling techniques such as deep learning, applied AI and reinforced learning. .
• Hold a PhD in a numerate discipline.
• Have experience in managing or mentoring colleagues in previous similar roles.
