As a Lead RPA Developer you will be joining our Tax Technology Consulting team which enables the development and adoption of new technologies within the Tax line of service.

You will be focused on designing and building end to end automation process solutions using UI Path and other technologies that meet our business requirements for process improvement. You will work within project planning constraints, owning development solutions and have a high level of exposure to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business.

The RPA Developer will use their programming background and experience to deliver automation solutions, based on pre-defined and explained requirements, co-creating solutions with the functional or technical process experts.

Key responsibilities

  • Leads a team of junior RPA developers
  • Develops the automation of PwC internal and client business processes.
  • Keeps the RPA Technology Lead up to date with the status of development, issues and impact on related development / projects.
  • Develops and delivers high quality automated processes to agreed specifications within the PwC RPA Framework, creating reusable knowledge assets for each automation project.
  • Utilises the Agile methodology to deliver automations, working alongside the users, subject-matter-experts, analysts and project manager to understand, assess, replay and deliver business process automations to agreed specifications and meeting the business requirements.
  • Ensures documentation is well maintained.
  • Ensures quality of coded components by performing thorough unit testing.
  • Works collaboratively with testers during the UAT phases to fix assigned bugs with quality.
  • Reports status, issues and risks to technology leads on a regular basis
  • Improves skills in automation products by completing automation certification.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • At least a year of hands-on experience with RPA Tools, including UiPath. However, individuals with an interest in RPA and 3-5 years of experience in other programming-related role will be considered too.
  • Good understanding of programming concepts and programming background in any coding language such as VB.Net, VBA, C#, JavaScript and Python
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Great networking skills and the ability to influence outside of own department / team
  • Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented.
  • Keen to learn and to keep up with new technologies
  • Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience of Process Automation / Integration IT Projects
  • Experience working with a Business Analyst to understand Business Requirements
  • Knowledge of SQL databases, HTML/JavaScript experience
  • Experience with process, license and robot management.

SAP Finance Technology team within the Risk Finance Treasury department is a key partner to Finance teams across Barclays in enabling and delivering global services and solutions across Barclays functions and businesses, primarily via the bank's SAP enterprise platforms. The SAP MI team is part of SAP Finance Technology Department and focuses on the build, deployment and third line support of Management Information and Analytical Applications based on SAP technology stack (SAP BW, SAP Business Objects, SAP BPC).

As an Analytics Applications Developer, you’ll be providing hands on HTML, JavaScript web development towards improvement of dashboard.  As you’ll be working as part of an SAP team, you must be happy to learn SAP as you’ll be trained on this.


What will you be doing?


Supporting development standards and knowledge sharing process and tools within the SAP MI team
Providing hands on HTML, JavaScript web development towards improvement of dashboard
Furthering software engineering skills and learning SAP
Driving automation and Quality Assurance process in the team
Providing expertise to the team in best practices and “know how” on web development technologies
Providing hands on delivery of strategic projects, BAU enhancements and third line support
Ensure all developments are fully documented and meet high level design requirements to ensure project delivery is compliant and fit for purpose


What we’re looking for:


Development experience using web technologies; CSS, HTML, JavaScript as you’ll be improving the dashboard
Must be willing to learn SAP 


Skills that will help you in the role:


Knowledge of User Interface design principles
Knowledge/experience working within an Agile methodology framework

Cardiff University are looking for two skilled Web Developers to join the Web and Mobile Development Team. These roles will be focused on delivering technical solutions defined by the Education Service Transformation Programme that will help develop and improve the Student and Staff digital experience. You will be part of an established team of developers situated only a couple of minutes from the University campus and town centre. The role holders will take responsibility for the design, development, integration, testing and documentation of a number of bespoke web applications.

We are looking for an experienced developer comfortable writing web and mobile applications with experience of using APIs to consume data and connect systems together. We primarily use PHP and JavaScript for front end development, but you will be joining a diverse team that uses a range of languages to develop and support web applications for students and staff.

We work in an agile way and expect knowledge of standard good practices, version control, test-driven development and documentation are required.
