Senior Technical Manager (IT, Sound, Projection)

About the role:

The Senior Technical Manager will provide IT, Sound and Projection support to our cinemas across the UK, this will include performing installations, servicing and troubleshooting across a range of cinema projection and sound equipment as well as some POS and IT support.

This role will oversee the group Projection Manager and will be key to supporting with the development of new and existing projects as well as getting involved in day to day cinema operations. The Senior Technical Manager is required to be available to answer urgent after-hours calls on a roster basis in order to provide technical support for our cinemas and head office.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Installation of digital projectors and sound systems at new cinema sites, including fields planning, construction, commissioning, operation, updating and maintenance of projection equipment
  • Delivery of new technologies across hardware, software and solutions that are appropriate with the company strategic direction.
  • Working to Industry best practice and delivering high quality Digital Cinema solutions purposeful for the company
  • Engagement with third party suppliers when necessary to ensure problem resolution within SLA.
  • Network management according to the company and project management requirements
  • Support the Service Desk team in problem resolution providing an escalation route
  • Installation, maintenance and repairs of electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems in accordance with National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
  • Understanding and implementation of technical diagrams and blueprints
  • Good quality workmanship upholding company standards, complying with building codes, and following safety requirements
  • Providing technical IT support for our cinemas and head office
  • Oversee the group Projection Manager.

About You:

  • Proven track record in Cinema Engineering with Extensive hands-on experience in and understanding of cinema technologies (Projection and Cinema Audio)
  • Proactive and personable with good interpersonal skills
  • A creative problem solver
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks across locations
  • Able to work with diverse stakeholders in order to provide support at all leveles
  • A desire to undertake new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Full qualifications in Barco and NEC projectors and Dolby Sound systems
  • Advanced computer literacy and understanding of IT networking
  • Advanced user of Windows systems, including IIS, DNS, DHCP, Networking
  • Ability to understand error logs
  • Good knowledge of SQL Server and Windows Operating System would be preferred but not essential
  • Vista Entertainment Solutionsexperience would be preferred but is not essential
  • Knowledge of coding and scripting is preferred but not essential
