2nd Line Support Technician | £24,000+ | Deeside | Construction and Property

Your new role
As a Support Technician you will respond to all 2nd line issues, being the main point of contact for both software problems and hardware queries using SCCM. You will ensure the environment is up and running, carrying out any data updates, cleansing, restores and performance monitoring. You will work with the team administering the VMware and SAN. Additional daily tasks include; on site server builds, PC/ Laptop builds, security updates and ad-hoc regional offer visits. Currently in the process of migrating to a .NET environment.

What you'll need to succeed
Must have a strong track record working in a 2nd line Support Technician role and be a confident user of SCCM and VMWare. Competent in building and updating PCs and laptops, as well as server builds and security updates. Having knowledge of SQL will enable you to hit the ground running, as will having experience of working in a Microsoft environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with users will is important.

What you'll get in return
A salary of £24,000-28,000 (D.O.E), 24 days annual leave per annum plus 8 bank holidays - which increase with long service. Ability to buy or sell up to 3 days. Optional Healthcare scheme, company pension contribution up to 7% and an annual bonus based on your basic salary. Working 37 hours a week Monday- Friday; flexible working policy available. Ad-hoc out of office hours work is required, where updates are scheduled.

My client is looking for a Systems Developer to develop and maintain their operational systems.

This role is for a junior member of the team who is willing to build on their current skills but can demonstrate proficiency in a coding language. The candidate must have the ability to adapt to different coding environments. They will be responsible for the development and support of the Operational Support System (OSS) and its integration with internal/external systems. The candidate must be able to demonstrate proficiency in a coding language with C# and ASP.NET MVC being strongly desirable and be prepared to develop new skills. Experience with web services and MySQL (or other RDBMS) is also strongly desirable.
Knowledge of IP, broadband and voice networks would also be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
• DevOps - developing & maintaining systems as part of an operations team.
• Agree and define systems specifications with stakeholders.
• Maintain software and scripts to meet operational requirements.
• Actively develop a scalable systems architecture to support the network growth.
• Ensure the integrity of high availability systems infrastructure to provide maximum performance for the customers.
• Work with ICT Development to support and integrate systems
• Development of new systems to support broadband, data and voice products.
• Work with minimal supervision and support.
• Maintain and create documentation.
• Work independently with internal and external suppliers.
• Plan and prioritise work.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues.
