This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Service Desk Officer to join the Digital Services team in Haringey Council (North London).

You will provide technical support to users across the Council through resolution of incidents and service requests in line with agreed service agreements, minimising disruption / loss of service.

Your experience will have enabled you to develop a good understanding of the IT / IS infrastructure, configurations, IT applications and service processes used within an organisation. You will be proficient in installation, testing and maintenance of hardware and software.

About You

  • You should have a strong customer focus and be confident dealing with a wide range of end users as well as liaising with technical suppliers. You are experienced in following agreed procedures to provide advice to users to help them make more effective use of desktop systems, products and services.
  • Good communication skills are needed to provide updates to users and issue communications on incidents and service disruptions.
  • Being organised and methodical will help with managing IT assets (hardware and software) through their life cycle and ensuring accurate records are maintained as well as compliance with various IT policies and controls.
  • As the role may require visits to other council sites around the borough, it would be beneficial if you have a driving licence and your own car.

Desirable qualifications

  • A levels or equivalent standard or a relevant professional qualification.
