We at Plexus are working with an established data analytics company with over 15 years’ experience serving a wide range of clients. As they have recently restructured their existing teams, they are looking for an experienced data engineer to join their recently created data team separate from their back-end developers.

The ideal candidate will have come from a python development background and will be keen to work alongside the likes of both quant and application developers in order to ensure the accuracy of data

Experience

BSc or MSc in a computer science related subject

Strong experience of Python and related frameworks, ideally Django

Experience working with large data sets

Experience utilising Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark

Background Skills

  3. Acquire, ingest, and process data from multiple sources and systems into Cloud Data Lake
  4. Operate in fast-paced, iterative environment while remaining compliant with Information Sec policies/standards
  5. Collaborate with data scientists to map data fields to hypotheses and curate, wrangle, and prepare data for use in their advanced analytical models
  6. Help architect the strategic advanced analytics technology landscape
  7. Build re-usable code and data assets

Codify best practices, methodology and share knowledge with other data engineers/scientists in the organisation
