Office 365 Technical Consultant

Outsource UK is currently working with a small growing business with a great company culture to recruit an Office 365 Technical Consultant. For this customer-facing role, we are looking for someone who loves to resolve challenges, and who is comfortable communicating with colleagues and customers, whether in writing or in person. You will primarily provide technical consultancy for their Office 365 and SharePoint solutions. You will proactively drive improvements for our client's SME customers.

Objectives of the role

  • To build out and support the Azure Platform for data, applications and infrastructure working with the architects and supporting IS teams.
  • Having subject matter expertise in Microsoft Office 365
  • Working with our customers to understand, define and design solutions which meet their requirements
  • Participating in the full development lifecycle (requirements capture, architecture, design implementation, test and deployment)
  • Configuring, deploying and maintaining Office 365 solutions
  • Office 365 technical / user support
  • Office 365 tenant administration
  • Identifying and resolving incidents and configuration issues in solutions
  • Providing accurate and detailed time estimates

What we're looking for

  • Experience in customer relationship management and technical consultancy
  • Expertise in the administration, configuration and maintenance of SharePoint and Office 365
  • Experience of competence scoping exercises, workshops and specification writing
  • Experience in service delivery
  • Expertise in languages such as C#, JavaScript, jQuery, React, Typescript, SQL REST, and Bootstrap
  • Expertise with Visual Studio and Microsoft Team Foundation Services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients to identify their needs and evaluate technical solutions and strategies
  • Strong aptitude for learning - you must be willing to proactively fill gaps in your technical knowledge and capabilities
