Requirements

  • +4 years’ experience in PHP, tackling hard problems!
  • We use PHP 7+ with Slim
  • Exposure to Microservices and Cloud (AWS)
  • Experience building RESTful APIs
  • MySQL/Maria DB
  • Agile - Scrum and Kanban

Role

We build quickly and ship often. Our backend engineers build and support APIs that handle millions of requests a day. You'll contribute technically writing code, designing schemas, new features and improving architecture to support and scale our platform. Moving to containerized infrastructure and working on AWS.

With scope for AI, image recognition and Machine Learning all in the roadmap, there is plenty to get your teeth stuck into!

Tech Lead, Uxbridge, £75-83K + £6.7K Car Allowance + 15% Bonus (£102K+ package) + bens. You must have a background as a Tech Lead and be happy spending 50% of your time coding.

Our Tech Stack
On the Client-Side: Vanilla JavaScript / ECMAScript (ES5+), AngularJS / Angular, React / React Native, Flow or TypeScript. CSS3 with LESS/SASS & HTML5
On the Server-Side: Java 8 with AspectJ & Maven, Spring Framework including AOP, Boot, Cloud, JDBC, MVC, Security. Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle & Amazon RDS. Message brokers including ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Amazon SNS/SQS. PHP with Zend.
Continuous Integration with Jenkins, Test-Driven Development with Chai, JUnit, Karma, Mocha, & Sinon, Behaviour-Driven Development with Cucumber / Protractor, Agile Software Development and practical experience of Extreme Programming, Kanban & Scrum
