We have an opportunity for a Data Migration Consultant - SQL with extensive data migrating and SQL programming experience to join the team based in London. This is a full time, permanent position offering a highly competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

As a Data Migration Consultant, you will work closely with our Legal sector clients to migrate data from legacy systems to Aderant’s software solutions. This dynamic role leads clients to successful implementations and forms the basis of long lasting and mutually beneficial relationships.

Key responsibilities of our Data Migration Consultant:

- Analyse and determine conversion requirements and specifications.

- Use tools and SQL scripts to manipulate data

- Assist with issue resolution, mentoring and training.

- Identify, clarify and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed.

- Communicate with clients to obtain guidance for the conversion process.

- Design, develop and execute tests that confirm the success of the data conversion process

What we’re looking for in our Data Migration Consultant:

Interested applicants will have experience in a client-facing position, working as a Data Analyst or in a Data Migration role.

Essential

- Ability to demonstrate intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server

- Ability to demonstrate experience in developing TSQL/SQL queries.

- Clear communication capabilities on projects, including project documentation

- Adherence to conversion methodology within projects, including exercising sound project planning and monitoring skills.

- Comprehensive analytical skills and ability to formulate client-specific solutions

- A solid understanding of the various database structures

- Capable of multitasking, working on and documenting various projects simultaneously

- Logical and able to solve problems creatively

- Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

- Some travel required, approx. 25% of the time, predominantly within the UK but sometimes internationally

Desirable

- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the Legal finance sector or similar financial systems environment

- Prior knowledge and awareness of Aderant products

As a Lead Developer your main responsibilities will include:

Build and document the Autoglym Ecommerce platforms and digital tools to a sustainable, secure and high standard within agreed timelines.

Understand and interpret business processes/needs and translate into tangible, realistic, and achievable technical specifications for delivery across the team.

Translate business needs to detailed scopes of work for e-Commerce and digital developers

Become the gatekeeper for the technical development roadmap, aligning with business needs and strategy.

Become the expert in the Magento product roadmap and lifecycle. 

Set and maintain standards for use of development/project management tools.

Continual emersion in the digital space, advising Head of Ecommerce, Marketing Director, and Digital Systems Manager of new technologies and business cases.

Evaluate all activities to make recommendations for future improvements to the e-Commerce strategy.

Ensure all digital development is consistent with Altro Group IT, Development, and Security policies.

A minimum of 70% of time will be allocated to coding.

Exposure to, and experience of managing wrapped app technologies. 

Management of Project Management and Workflow tools, e.g. Attlasian JIRA and Confluence.

Has defined and delivered end-to-end solutions, and can demonstrate understanding of complex business processes, including complex integrations with other business systems.

Managed team workflow, productivity, and versioning using industry standard tools.

The SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for providing all aspects of administration support for an ITIL based ticketing tool. They have put a real emphasis on experts in Index strategies and Performance Tuning, while knowledge of related tech such as Log Shipping, Always On and Replication would be a plus.

Some of the ticket tasks you'll be required to perform are clustering, recovery, break fix, account administration in a shift based environment. Furthermore, as they are investing heavily into cloud technologies, experience with Azure is desirable.

They offer 2/3 days remote working a week also, and an On-Call shift scheme to earn extra.
