Avanti Recruitment are currently working with a Sports and Betting company based in Central London that are looking for a Python Data Engineer who will be responsible for building and monitoring their platform for analysing data.

The company are going through a period of growth and as part of this they are scaling their current data platform using cloud technologies. They are therefore looking for someone that can explore ways of innovating their platform, make suggestions for change and implement this across the team. Loads of training will provided when you join and there is also the opportunity for you to progress your career in to senior/management positions if you wanted.

To be considered for this role you will need to have;

- Strong Python development experience including NumPy and Pandas

- Experience working with data driven architectures

- Bash and Linux scripting skills

- Docker

- AWS cloud experience

Additional experience with the following technologies will be considered a massive benefit;

- Experience working with data storage formats such asAvro, Parquet or ORC

- Coding experience with C / C++

- Nifi / Airflow / Kubernetes understanding or hands on experience

- Knowledge of virtualisation tools such as Plotly or Bokeh

Our client have a really nice, modern office based in Central London with some fantastic facilities including a Games Room, Onsite Café with free hot meals, Gym and a Sauna!

They have just migrated from Digital Ocean to Claranet but have a number of new projects coming up they need a hand with.

Due to the project pipeline, if someone has specific integration experience, this will be beneficial for the long term and will mean the contract will be more likely to extend.
