What you'll be doing:

Be part of the team helping clients move from standard infrastructure, Private and Hybrid cloud environments to public cloud iterations. You'll be trained in the latest public cloud technologies and encouraged to gain key AWS, Azure and GCP certifications. You will also be exposed to Agile and DevOps methodologies and will be trained on cutting-edge tools including Puppet, Chef and Ansible, as well as Jenkins, Docker and a whole host of other innovative technologies.

Working with an ECS buddy who will show you the ropes and be your "go to" mentor, you'll get to learn from some of the best consultants in the Cloud industry on how to deploy solutions, work with different stakeholders and how to build robust and tailored solutions for a wide variety of different organisations. You'll contributing to transformation organisation wide and significantly impacting multiple customers. It's exciting and challenging work!

What you'll contribute:

A passion for IT and technology, especially an interest in Cloud and DevOps
Working knowledge of programming/Scripting in either Bash, Python, Ruby or something similar.
Hands on experience in a Linux/Unix environment although a Windows background is good too!
Keen desire to constantly learn about new technologies and solutions within the Cloud world.
Ideally a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline. If you're a graduate in another discipline with an interest and some demonstrable experience in this area then we'd still love to hear from you.
An understanding of some Cloud tech such as AWS, GCP, Azure would be beneficial but is not essential.

DevOps Role sought by luxury travel operator.

Our Client is a luxury travel operator developing an Artificial-Intelligence-as-a-Service solution for the next generation of leisure. Their full-stack platform is cloud agnostic, highly scalable, and built on patented award-winning and world-leading optimisation algorithms. They utilise cutting-edge technology in IoT, Big Data, AI and ML to maximise user experience and accessibility, improve productivity and minimise environmental impact for our clients. The Role:

Reporting to the CTO, you will carry out agreed operational procedures, including network configuration, installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure for SaaS products. You will support technical review and have a passion to design, develop and implement digital solutions to be deployed at scale. Within this role you will be expected to serve 2nd/3rd line IT functions and support R&D project at the infrastructure level in the areas of IoT, Big Data, Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment. Java Developer | Tewkesbury | £35,000 - £45,000

My client are distributive start up whose product is focused on designing and delivering innovative solutions for our customers, solutions which currently exploit cloud based deployments. They have had incredible growth over the last couple of years.

I am looking for a good knowledge of the Java programming language, plus associated tooling such as Maven, Git and a modern IDE such IntelliJ IDEA. My client are moving towards a fully blown CI/CD automated pipeline, so experience with the design and implementation of unit tests using libraries such as JUnit is essential.

The main responsibility of the role is to carry out Java full stack development activities to develop functionality of software updates

What my client is looking for – .
  • Good experience in core Java, with experience at language level 8/11
  • Interest/ Experience in Unit and Systems testing using JUnit
  • Experience in Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) to include JAX-RS2 and Servlets
  • Experience with both SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2 etc) and NoSQL databases (ideally ArangoDB)
  • Experience designing and developing container based Microservice based architectures using Docker including Swarm Mode or Kubernetes
