Your role
Using cutting edge technology you’ll work alongside colleagues, often in multi-disciplinary teams, helping to solve our clients’ most significant challenges. In particular, as a Transaction Monitoring Specialist you will work on a wide range of Financial Crime projects, helping our clients to use analytics and technology to meet their obligations under national and international regulations.
Leading a small project team you will help to find solutions for clients on projects typically driven by compliance and risk problems, mainly in the financial crime and regulatory fields. You will work directly with our clients to understand the challenges they face and design, propose and deliver solutions that address them.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Scoping the delivery of projects, working closely with clients and other project stakeholders to understand their requirements;
  • Leading the delivery of analytical work leading a team/(s) of colleagues;
  • Providing subject matter expertise (SME) to our Financial Crime team including in the area of Transaction Monitoring solutions;
  • Managing the quality and accuracy of your team’s work and addressing risks as they arise;
  • Evaluating new technologies to expand the scope of the team’s work and improve its efficiency;
  • Contributing to the overall business management and leadership of the forensic analytics team;
  • Contributing to the firm’s talent agenda, managing and working effectively in diverse teams and helping to foster an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their contribution;
  • Supporting the ambition of the team to be the leading forensic analytics experts in the UK and beyond, through growing the team to enable development of a broad range of quality client relationships across all industries and through the adoption of both cutting-edge and well-established technologies;

Your professional experience
Essential:

  • Experience of a market leading Transaction Monitoring (TM) or Transaction Surveillance (Market Abuse) rules engine (e.g. Actimize, Norcom, Mantas, BAe Detica, SAS, Quantexa etc.), including the testing, tuning and statistical optimization of the solution using a formal structured methodology;
  • Use of data analytics tools and techniques (e.g. SQL, Oracle or SAS BI) and ETL software (e.g. SSIS, Informatica or CloverETL) to address Financial Crime problems;
  • Transaction Monitoring and Financial Crime domain expertise and/or technical knowledge acquired from a Compliance, Business or IT perspective;
  • Scripting or programming (e.g. R, Java, Python or C#);
  • Ability to work with and lead project teams, helping to motivate team members;
  • Supporting the development of colleagues through mentoring and knowledge sharing;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that you can adapt to technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Contribution to or development of proposals and propositions for internal or external clients.
Preferred:
  • Relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications (including compliance experience as a practitioner and/or Financial Crime compliance qualifications (e.g. ICA or ACAMS or equivalent);
  • Experience of working on projects for external clients;
  • Experience of working in or working on projects in regulated industries, particularly financial services.

Leader within the ITS Business Quality Assurance (QA) team responsible for our test automation development and maintenance, in line with our QA Automation Strategy. This role is required to work within project & product teams to deliver automated testing of APIs, repeatable processes, functionality and some back-end/infrastructure activities. This role will be responsible for ensuring alignment to the QA Automation Strategy led by our Operational QA Manager. Our test automation work is varied spanning: desktop estate (Mac, Windows), off the shelf vs custom developed vs integrated apps.

Your role


Responsibilities:

  • Test automation development
  • Managing and maintaining automation QA framework and regression scripts
  • Continual improvement and ad-hoc test team activities as required
  • Build and maintain QA scripts using automation tools and development languages (predominantly SWIFT, C#, Java, VB)
  • Manage and deliver against the QA Automation framework
  • Select and develop appropriate QA automation tools to support our environment
  • Management of our DevOps pipeline and supporting tests
  • Automated accessibility testing
  • Ensure proper traceability, version control and configuration management of all test objects developed using tools such as SonarQube, Git
  • Assess the feasibility and ROI for automated testing and communicate benefits and wins in business language
  • Reviewing & updating automated regression test scripts
  • Coordinating with QA team members to ensure any changes are fed into scripts
  • Creating new automation scripts (if required)
  • Continually reviewing and ensuring alignment to the overall Automation Strategy and Framework
  • Reviewing and continually improving QA processes and activities
  • Supporting the development of the test team by leading an internal focus area e.g. risk management, asset management, internal team collaboration, team building activities

Requirements:
  • Solid experience as a QA Analyst including test automation / development experience
  • In-depth knowledge of test toolsets and development languages including C#, Java, Visual, C#, VB scripting and PHP programing languages.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and web services
  • Understanding and experience in DevOps pipeline i.e. change, release & deployment processes
    Experience of Cloud or AWS / Azure
  • Strong knowledge & use of QA methodologies e.g. Agile, DevOps

  • A thorough knowledge of the Windows and Office products and virtual machines
Desirable
  • Certified with ITIL Foundation level

Your role


Responsibilities:

  • Test automation development
  • Managing and maintaining automation QA framework and regression scripts
  • Continual improvement and ad-hoc test team activities as required
  • Build and maintain QA scripts using automation tools and development languages (predominantly SWIFT, C#, Java, VB)
  • Manage and deliver against the QA Automation framework
  • Select and develop appropriate QA automation tools to support our environment
  • Management of our DevOps pipeline and supporting tests
  • Automated accessibility testing
  • Ensure proper traceability, version control and configuration management of all test objects developed using tools such as SonarQube, Git
  • Assess the feasibility and ROI for automated testing and communicate benefits and wins in business language
  • Reviewing & updating automated regression test scripts
  • Coordinating with QA team members to ensure any changes are fed into scripts
  • Creating new automation scripts (if required)
  • Continually reviewing and ensuring alignment to the overall Automation Strategy and Framework
  • Reviewing and continually improving QA processes and activities
  • Supporting the development of the test team by leading an internal focus area e.g. risk management, asset management, internal team collaboration, team building activities

Requirements:
  • Solid experience as a QA Analyst including test automation / development experience
