Infrastructure Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer / SRE (AWS Python). Opportunity to join a fast growing FinTech that is helping to revolutionise consumer banking through the use of advanced data centric, cloud based technology.

As an Infrastructure Engineer / SRE you will join a small team that combines software and systems engineering to build and run large scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems deployed to AWS. Global Software House with impressive client base of large corporate companies requires a DevOps Engineer to help be the glue between the companies Dev, QA and Product teams - enabling the smooth Continuous Build and Integration of new instances of systems and test environments for new and existing clients (that will be managed on client premise once live).

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Software Development teams, Product Managers, and Business Owners to ensure smooth deployment and operation of systems.
  • Build CI/CD pipeline configurations to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of both large and small-scale systems.
  • Automate tools to monitor system health and reliability to support business process requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Communicate status and risks to the product teams.
  • Help automate and streamline operations and processes.
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.

The successful DevOps Engineer will have:

  • Chef or Puppet or similar configuration management tool
  • Cloud experience - Azure or/and AWS etc.
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language - Bash, Python, Ruby etc.
  • Monitoring experience - Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic or similar

Advantageous:

  • Exposure to Docker
  • Experience with Proxy technologies - Nginx, HAProxy or similar
  • Kubernetes experience
