Job Title: OS and DBA Infrastructure Lead

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £49,000 + excellent benefits package

We are assisting our client in the search for an OS and DBA Infrastructure Lead. This is a highly technical role in which the successful candidate will play an instrumental part in the architecture, design and operational management of the Windows and Linux OS, SQL and Oracle Database technologies which underpin the services provided to a global IT customer base.

OS and DBA Infrastructure Lead - Technical Skills, Experience and Attributes Required:

- Extensive technical knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, SQL and Oracle database technologies

- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle platforms to an advanced DBA level

- Excellent scripting and performance tuning

- Strong technical knowledge of virtualization technologies

- Extensive experience working with Oracle eBusiness and SAP

- OS, Database and ITIL qualifications are highly desirable

- Provide accurate and detailed technical insight to the Head of Data Centre Services to support effective decision making

- Support the Head of Data Centre Services in the formulation and delivery of technology roadmaps for OS and Database technologies

- Technical lead on projects pertaining to OS and Database technologies

- Higher level escalation point for complex technical issues raised from support functions

- Assess solutions from multiple technology vendors to ensure services remain fit for use and in line with customer requirements
