C++ Software Engineer / C++ Developer / (UNIX Linux Agile TDD Python). Global Real-time Market Data provider is seeking a skilled C++ Software Engineer for a 12 month contract. You will help to support feed handlers and focus on a migration project which will involve moving from legacy Solaris machines to Linux, updating API's, utilising more modern libraries and re-writing code utilising C++ 11 / C++ 17.

As a C++ Software Engineer your role will involve creating test suites, analysing source code for potential migration problem areas, performing the required code changes, as well as deploying the new code and communicating with affected stakeholders.

My client is a leading Market Making house who have built an extremely profitable trading desk which has only been running for 2.5yrs and experienced high levels of growth.

With no legacy code, this is a desk built from scratch and predominantly working on Greenfield projects over the next 3yrs. The successful candidate/s will have a great opportunity to have a valuable input into the delivery of the new systems build. In addition, you will be working directly with the researchers, quants and traders within the close knit and collaborative team which will give you maximum exposure to the business activity.

You will have experience of building high throughput and high volume systems paying particular emphasis on speed and performance using C++ ideally from C++11, on a Linux platform. Low latency experience is a big advantage as the team are heavily focused on making this system even more profitable than it already is!
