Leadership, New Processes, Automation, People Development - Native mobile application for an established enterprise software business. 

We've been the recruitment partner for this organisation for many years and love working with these guys. Modest yet innovative and very successful, 12 months ago they started developing a new range of mobile applications and products, one year on there is significant interest from a number of key markets, including healthcare, which represents an incredible new opportunity for a business that currently operates across a range of other verticals. 

Using AI and bots within their mobile platforms their latest range of products are proving to be transformative by offering intelligent messaging platforms with inbuilt logic and intelligence, in healthcare these platforms could save lives! Very cool, particularly at a time when healthcare comes under the spotlight! 

Up until now, the Testing Team has been managed by the Head of Software Development but this newly created role will take this function into a standalone area, offering the ideal opportunity to analyse, improve and implement new processes and standards, including automation, specifically around UI testing and integration testing. The role will also involve team management and leadership and will involve the follwowing: 

  • Setting the overall testinf strategy and direction 
  • Defining detailed test plans and scripts 
  • Working towards departmental and project deadlines 
  • Participating in test reviews 
  • Reviewing documentation and helping to define key acceptance criteria 
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements 
  • Providing test estimates and plans 
  • Mentoring and coaching 
  • Work allocation and coordination 
  • Line managemnet and support 

Products are very mobile-centric and involve native app development across Android, iOS and Windows, macOS as well as Web services/apps. The environment is HTML/CSS/JavaScript. All products  now sit on Azure / AWS. 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced QA Tester who is leading a team of Testers as a Lead Tester and looking for a step up into a management position or someone already working in a QA Management position who is looking to implement new ideas and processes into a greenfield testing environment that is looking for a leader to implement a new strategic vision for the function.

IT Service Specialist



Job Purpose

The role involves dealing support incidents from our internal clients involving desktops, laptops, iPhone mobile devices, Alcatel telephone systems and various application software as well as network connectivity

and related cloud service issues as well the setup and configuration of new hardware and software

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as this role represents the face of the company and you will be liaising with Senior Management of the cooperation.

The successful candidate should have a keen desire and ability to learn. We actively support and encourage internal training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver support and assistance to clients in a proactive and structured way.
  • Liaise internally with other team members and managers to ensure that customer expectations are met and exceeded
  • Make proactive efforts to improve IT knowledge.
  • Get involved with internal discussions and be willing to contribute to the continuous process of service improvement
  • Take responsibility for ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Configure, deploy and support Laptops, printers and phones
  • Setting installation sequences and back up tasks
  • Troubleshooting and management of incidents and user's requests
  • Set up new users account and profiles and deal with password or application issues
  • IT Equipment relocation and replace part as required
  • Testing meeting room hardware and Monitors
  • Manage video contents playlist for the internal monitors
  • Support user and visitors during meeting as required


Job-Requirements: skills, competencies, experience

  • Formal qualifications and the relevant experience are preferred
  • MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate)
  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate)
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Previous experience in supporting the following is desirable:
  • Windows 10 (essential)
  • Active Directory
  • Office365 online
  • Windows Server
  • Network switches
  • Routers and firewalls
  • Alcatel Systems
  • Mobile - Android & iOS
