React Native Developer / Full Stack Mobile Engineer (iOS Android SDK). Would you like to work with the latest technologies, build systems from scratch and get stuff done? You could be joining a fast growing Challenger Bank that is helping to revolutionise consumer banking through the use of advanced data centric, SaaS Cloud based banking technology.

As a React Native Developer you will focus on design and development of the core platform for mobile devices. You will work closely with other engineers to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility to assist with the architecture and design of new and current systems in a collaborative technology driven environment.

You'll be based in modern, open plan offices with all the latest kit; a well stocked kitchen / canteen area and a highly motivated team atmosphere with flexible working opportunities. Excellent opportunity to advance your career and work on things that have never been done before.

Requirements:

*Strong mobile development experience using React Native (and Redux ideally)
*Good knowledge of iOS and Android SDK
*Experience of writing unit, integration and functional tests
*Agile Scrum team experience
*Strong communication and collaboration skills
*Other technologies in the stack, experience with any beneficial: Node.js, Java, Spring, microservices, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Kafka

Design and implement everything Android, from brilliant algorithms to beautiful user interfaces and experiences. Work closely with the other developers in our Android, iOS, Web as well as designers, testers and support teams to deliver together the best products and services.
?Work on the latest architecture paradigms and technical challenges
?Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies
?Work in a lean agile environment with a flat hierarchy
?Develop prototypes quickly
?Play a key role in how our product evolves and our technology emerges
?Have strong influence in further refining and evolving our product feature
?Build high quality, performing, well tested applications and inspire those around you to do the same
?Be part of a technical leadership team and grow as much as you want with full management support

Required Qualifications

?Degree in Computer Science or a related field; extensive track record in software development can also be considered
?Minimum 3-5 years Android development experience in a commercial environment
?Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Programming
?Excellent knowledge of Kotlin and the Android SDK
?Solid experience with the full mobile development life cycle
?Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
?Excellent testing, debugging, troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred

?Passionate about Android development and proud of one or more apps published on the Google Play store
?Android architectural patterns (e.g. Android Architecture Components)
?Web APIs and network programming and debugging
?Android unit-test framework
?Material Design
?UI and UX Experience

Nice to have

?Low-level programming, C, C++ and JNI

This role is an initial 6 Month contract based in London.

What you will need:

  • Strong background in JavaScript
  • Experience working with React JS and associated application architectures and libraries
  • Experience of mobile app development for IOS and Android, particularly React Native
  • Cloud hosting experience on AWS, Heroku and Knowledge of CI principle
