Senior Full Stack JavaScript Developer - Manchester £40k-£60k

I am supporting the growth of a really interesting business in Manchester for their search for an experienced JavaScript stack developer to join and mentor their team as it grows further over the next 12-18 months. This opportunity gives you the chance to be involved in a number of greenfield projects and take real ownership of what you are creating; you could be working on 3 different projects for start-up/scale-up businesses at any one time.

Most of your role will be hands on coding but you will need to be responsible for all aspects of the project such as designing/creating the user experience to meet the end clients requirements, be prepared to take a Polygot style approach in selecting the right technology for the job and designing the architecture, organise/manage your teams day to day tasks in an agile way, QA/Testing.

Working with agile product development teams, you will become a Subject Matter Expert for business applications providing advice, functional and operational support.

Tech Skills required:

  • SQL
  • Logging tools (ie Papertrail & datadog), able to create alerts
  • AWS knowledge (basic)
  • Javascript (basic understanding)
  • Github/source control
  • CI/CD pipelines (understanding needed to debug, not create them)
  • Powershell scripting

  • Take ownership of incidents and problems escalated to the team.
  • Engineer solutions to complex IT issues using automation, debugging and collaboration with developers.

  • Manage communication around incidents using Service Now, Slack, Jira etc...
  • Monitor the application ecosystem and carry out routine health checks;

You'll need…

  • Experience in a user-facing role, supporting multiple business applications in a mission critical environment.
  • An understanding of application platforms, business rules and data flows through systems.
  • An analytical mind, excellent problem-solving & diagnostic skills, attention to detail.
  • Strong Communication skills; can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of SLAs/OLAs, Agile and ITIL processes
  • Experience working with cross functional teams

There is a shift based system between 8am and 7pm Monday - Friday and an on call rota 24/7. Each staff member will be on call one week in every seven.

In addition to a £45,000 salary and a £2,000 on-call allowance, you will also receive a 75% discount on your London underground travel. Software Developer - We are working closely with a FinTech, based in Newbury, who are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to provide expertise and leadership across a product transformation.

As the Full Stack Software Developer, you will work across a transformation bringing a monolithic application to a Microservice JavaScript framework.

We are offering the Full Stack Software Developer:
