A forward-thinking company who are going from strength to strength are currently looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join their established team on a permanent basis based at the head office near Wetherby
The Role
The focus of the post is to provide day to day IT support for users and infrastructure across the company and covering three sites, supporting both internal and external customers. For applicants with the desire and aptitude there will be opportunities to become involved in system integration and development.
Duties
·Answering day to day support requests in person, via email or telephone.
·Hardware support and initial configuration of desktops and laptops.
·Supporting Microsoft technologies such as Windows Client/Server especially Hyper-V, Office 365 and SQL Server.
·Support core business systems such as servers, routers, switches, printers and network connectivity.
·Assist in the configuration of IT systems such as servers and new software rollouts.
Skills/Knowledge
·Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Office).
·Good knowledge of computer hardware.
·The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, professionalism, care, accuracy and reliability.
·Adaptability and self-motivation, good team player.
·Excellent written and oral communication skills.
·A bold and innovative nature and a desire to be fully involved in driving the growth of the Company.
·The ability to work efficiently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable:
·Experience working in an IT support environment.
·Exposure to virtualisation technologies, preferably Windows HyperV.
·Virtualisation related certification e.g. MS 74-409.
·Experience with MacOS systems.
·Software development skills (Office applications e.g. Excel, C#/SQL/ASP.net/WinForms/WPF).

UK Independent Medical is looking for an MI & BI Data Analyst to join our team based in Houghton Le Spring.

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for delivering BAU reporting requirements for the business, including the development and maintenance of the associated business Data marts. You will join our Change Management team and work closely with the wider Group’s BI team, sharing procedures and technology.

You should have a proven capability to produce MI with a SQL Server foundation and a front-end system. Experience with Tableau would be advantageous as it’s the software we use but you may have developed relevant transferable skills through use of other front-ends such as PowerBI or Qlikview.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain scheduled and ad hoc reporting primarily for internal clients
  • Work with stakeholders at all levels of seniority, using appropriate techniques e.g. workshops, questionnaires or 1:1 interviews to establish their business requirements
  • Utilising your technical skills, ensure that solutions are fully automated and scheduled, reducing any future input required by the Data Analyst
  • Adhere to and promote compliance with the company’s data management policies and procedures
  • Support team members with projects where applicable and utilise technical skills to answer business questions
  • Balance project and day to day reporting to ensure that deadlines are achieved

Experience required:

  • Experience working in a similar role and environment
  • Expert proficiency in Excel
  • Have a good understanding of relational database design and development
  • Able to work effectively across multiple projects or change activities simultaneously, adapting to business change and varying priorities across the business.

Qualifications required:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) passes in English and Maths
  • One or more relevant higher qualifications or certifications e.g. MTA, MCSA, MCSE, BCS Diploma in IT - Database Development. This requirement may be waived for candidates with particularly strong experience.

Preferred experience in order to complete responsibilities required:

  • Time served in a similar role with demonstrable experience using Microsoft SQL Server (2012 onwards) with good SQL skills including T-SQL
  • Experience using SSRS and SSIS, with the ability to write robust data processes combining data from multiple sources
  • Experience working with multiple data platforms and sources
  • Experience with Tableau or an equivalent e.g. PowerBI, Qlikview etc.
