Due to continued expansion within our IT department, we have an opportunity for an experienced .NET / C# Developer to be a key member of our team and be pivotal in the ongoing development of our core products; ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and our jobseeker portal. In this varied role, you will work in a multi-disciplined team using Agile methodology and thrive in a constantly evolving environment. You'll create, maintain, develop and improve our systems to meet the business needs and to drive our systems forward as technology evolves.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in a similar software development role or an appropriate IT degree/college qualification is desirable

• All or most of the following (with training to be provided where needed):

  • .NET Framework, .NET Core with VB or C#

  • MVC, Angular or React

  • SQL Server and Linq

  • Javascript and JQuery

  • Web API

  • Azure DevOps/Git

Software Tester / QA Engineer is required to join a highly progressive and growing company from their head office based from their head office in Farnborough.

The role of the Software Tester / QA Engineer will involve working within a predominately manual testing environment through the full testing lifecycle. The desktop software you would be working on is Microsoft .NET based and developed using C#. The main application is WPF based utilising an SQL Server database and you would be using Microsoft Test Centre, Azure Dev Ops and YouTrack.

You would be expected to:

• Testing & quality assurance of company software products predominantly desktop applications but occasional mobile and web based as well
• Pre & post release, including the recreation of software issues, documentation of issue and post fix testing.
• Preparation of release notes.
• Creation, maintenance and development of testing, scripts and procedures.
• Creation and maintenance of user, support and installation documentation.
• Liaising with Development team to progress any software issues found and reported.

The ideal candidate for this role will be working within a testing role at the moment and if possible have an industry recognised qualification within software testing.

You will have:

• At least 2 years industry experience as software tester.
• Experience of working within a manual environment but any experience within automation would be beneficial.
• The ability to write test scripts / plans
• Experience of testing software within a .Net environment would be highly beneficial.

As you will be working within a team environment and liaising with the development team then your communications skills, both written and verbal, must be very strong.

3rd Line Support Analyst Key Responsibilities

• Able to work effectively in a commercially aware yet customer sensitive capacity with different teams and departments;
• Engage and provide professional technical support and direction to customers;
• Ability to build relationships and develop rapport with internal and external clients;
• Work flexible hours when and if necessary;
• Manage deployments of updates to infrastructure and applications;
• Maintain system documentation;
• Maintain existing systems and recommend improvements.

The role is to assist in the development of SSIS packages for the purpose of Data migration in a large Data migration programme. The aim being to move data from the separate businesses into a consolidated environment.

Even though a lot of business analysis had been done the relevant data objects the mapping is incomplete, so the role requires a lot of data and gap analysis to identify where the specifications were incomplete.

The client needs someone to get involved in assisting business leads with data reconciliation sessions – providing reports on the data moved compared to base systems to identify if there had been any errors in the data movements.
