  • Becoming a Professional Services Consultant with Retain International:

As a part of Capita PLC, you will be working for one of the UK's largest and most successful professional services organisation. Retain International provides bespoke resource management software to a multitude of different sectors (predominantly professional and financial services), spanning over 70 countries globally.

About the role:

You will be involved on a numerous of consultancy projects from implementations, upgrades and data migration to training. You will also be providing presales support to assist with the deal. Throughout your projects, you will be dealing with customers on a regular basis, working with databases, capturing business requirements, deploy and configure the Retain software based on the business requirements and creating documents as part of a handover to the Support Team

What we're looking for:

  • Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Experience in database optimisation
  • SQL Server Management Studio (SQL Profiler OR SQL Execution Plan OR Client statistic)
  • Technical ability and experience working with SQL
  • Technical knowledge of current Windows operating systems
  • Technical knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory)
  • Technical knowledge of IIS web server
  • Experience in virtualisation
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Teamwork, willingness to learn and to knowledge-share
  • Translating business requirements, provide and implement tested solutions
  • Put together documentation for completion of each implementation

You will be required to work as part of a team and will be actively involved in prioritisation, definition and interpretation of customers' requirements, expert analysis, user support, and system design and development opportunities.

Sought:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - must be able to use complex functions in Excel.
  • Ability to write queries in MS SQL Server.
  • VBA knowledge sought
  • Strong analytical and requirement gathering skills.
  • Learning a unique skill set encompassing primary care coding structures, SQL and Microsoft Excel VBA.
  • Understanding customer requirements and creating high standard data specifications to standard, quality and time parameters.
  • Developing new and existing specifications will provide you with exciting opportunities to be innovative and help improve processes.
