Your role
ITS is an internal facing department, delivering a wide range of business enabling technology projects to Deloitte partners and staff located in the UK, Gibraltar and Switzerland.

The purpose of the Business Change Delivery function is to transform a business request into a fully supported technical reality accepted by the operational teams and the business requestor as being fit for purpose. This is to be achieved to an agreed quality, budget and timescale. A further objective is to provide strong change and technology leadership across the enterprise. In achieving this they need to be regarded not only as consistent but as efficient, dynamic and responsive. As an IT Project Manager within the internal IT department at Deloitte, no two projects will be the same. You will be persistent, analytical and flexible in your approach to delivering high-quality IT enabled business change to Deloitte Partners and staff.

You will be entrusted to manage projects autonomously, knowing that your manager will provide guidance and reassurance through regular catch-ups and support.

The Project Manager leads and manages the project team, with delegated authority and responsibility from the project board to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Project Managers have a key role interfacing between the ITS project and the business service lines. Project Managers are typically responsible for delivering between 1 and 3 projects concurrently. Typically these are less complex projects with lower levels of business change.
Project Mangers report to the appropriate Senior PM or Programme Manager for operational delivery related matters and will be coached by a Programme Manager in a matrix model.

The PM is responsible for:
  • Managing the production of deliverables to time, cost and quality requirements
  • Managing the expectations and satisfaction of the project’s sponsor and stakeholders
  • Directing, managing and motivating the project team
  • Creating and maintaining detailed integrated project plans
  • Managing the level of risk in the project and implementing effective change control
  • Following the organisation’s processes and best practice
  • Implementing control measures and regular reporting and take or recommend corrective actions as necessary
  • Managing project finances
  • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources and taking corrective action where necessary
  • Applying change control and configuration management
  • Maintaining an awareness of interdependencies with other projects

Your professional experience
Essential competencies and/or experience:
  • Strong of experience in a project management role in IT and/or information security
  • Strong organisational, attention to detail, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple concurrent deliverables, and ability to provide a positive influence within a team
  • Experience in stakeholder management, coordination, communications and reporting across a complex stakeholder structure
  • Experience in delivering large-scale, complex projects, particularly within the professional services industry would be considered a plus
  • Experience in financial budgeting and tracking
  • Professional project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP/PgMP or other relevant project management methodologies considered a plus
  • Professional security management certification strongly desirable, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials, including a recommended minimum of 5 years of combined experience in the Information Security / Cybersecurity domain
  • Understanding of associated disciplines of Security Policy and Governance
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role
  • Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with an ability to build good relationships with stakeholders and the wider ITS team
  • Advanced level use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint
  • Strong risk, opportunity & issue management
  • Proficient in estimation and schedule management
  • Analytical and flexible with the ability to rapidly understand ambiguous, unfamiliar and complex concepts.

The ideal candidate would also have:
  • Experience of using an enterprise project management tool such as ServiceNow and EPM
  • Experience of agile & waterfall project management methodologies

Deloitte Digital is looking to hire their next design research leader.

We’re looking for a seasoned design research professional to take our design research practice on to the next level. You’ll have 5-8 years’ experience in the field. As a senior you’ll be keen to support and mentor our team of passionate, skilled and experienced researchers working within our Experience Design team.

We are especially interested in hearing from researchers with a background in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies with digital research backgrounds. You should be an expert in getting to the heart of the research question, thrive at understanding the complex and to be an engaging storyteller, bringing your insights into human behavior to life. Fundamentally though, we want someone who will thrive working with the largest and most complex organisations. Your role

Design researchers at Deloitte Digital bring their curiosity, empathy and interpretive skills to bear on all aspects of our work. They bring bravery to challenge teams and get to the nub of the user need and requirement. Our team covers all phases of a project from definition of the need to continuous improvement of a live service. Our research is pragmatic and applied, enabling us to consult, advise, design and make decisions with clarity and impact. You will work alongside leaders for the other crafts within our design practice â€" Strategy, Service Design, UX Design, Visual Design and Front-end Development â€" to help shape the ongoing development of the design practice. This is a role that will offer you the opportunity to work with our teams, projects and clients with the customers and citizens we seek to serve.

Specific responsibilities include:

Craft
  • Designing research programmes that get to the heart of client challenge and help our solution design and delivery teams achieve successful outcomes
  • Planning & costing stand-alone and embedded research activities
  • Conducting research programmes
  • Synthesising and communicating research insights and findings in compelling and immersive ways
  • Embedding research and testing into large, multi-program/feature delivery projects and establishing ways of working between the work-streams to ensure that insight is shared and used across the project
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research and proven ability to use these two sources of insight in parallel to inform and develop findings
  • Designing and delivering the design research elements of continuous improvements programmes, working with live platforms to help inform optimisation and enhancement strategies, usually alongside data insights specialists
  • Collaborating with designers, strategists and technologists to turn research insights into meaningful solutions that have a real impact on our clients, their customers and society
  • Client-facing advocacy for the purpose and value of user research
  • Evolving our methods, tools and techniques for user research
  • We’d be particularly interested in speaking to you if you have experience of running international research

Leadership
  • You’re a design research thinker and shaper â€" you have a clear set of ideas and opinions about the craft, as it continues to evolve. You’ll bring that to bear by supporting the your Head of Design Research across direction, capabilities and profile of the design research team, within Deloitte Digital and as part of the wider community of researchers across all Deloitte businesses.
  • You will support the Head of Design Research insuring the Deloitte Digital design research practice has consistent, effective and up-to-date methods, tools & standards

Your role
We take a holistic approach to tackling our clients cloud connectivity challenges, with the collective team engaged across a broad range of sub-domains. Your role will focus on providing expert advice as part of the management and delivery of client engagements. You will have responsibilities for:

  • Helping our clients make the right decisions in a disruptive technology landscape to meet business objectives and future proof their network and communications infrastructure
  • Supporting our clients to align their connectivity strategy with their business strategy, including plans, designs, and business cases
  • Advising our clients in how to adopt next generation connectivity architectures that drive efficiency, manage risk and support business growth
  • Understanding next generation connectivity technologies and vendors, as well as the industries in which our clients operate, to help them integrate new developments (e.g. cloud, mobility, team communication and collaboration, software defined networking) to increase user productivity and reduce costs
  • Performing and supporting activities on network technology delivery engagements, assisting our clients execute on their connectivity strategy
  • Fulfilling your role, relevant to your grade, in ensuring we deliver successfully against our client commitments
  • Supporting the continued growth of our business through contributing to development of our propositions and marketing, training, client proposals, communications and recruitment activities

Your professional experience
We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following:
  • Has worked in a role with direct and regular contact with wider business and IT stakeholders and/or clients, exhibiting effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to help elicit and specify client connectivity requirements and translate those into to relevant architectures and designs
  • An understanding of emerging and innovative network technologies, and how they can be leveraged to deliver business transformation and change
  • Experience in developing closely aligned and pragmatic connectivity strategies, roadmaps and business cases
  • A broad connectivity and infrastructure technology delivery experience, with the demonstrable ability to leverage that to influence thinking and decisions
  • An understanding of emerging and innovative network technologies, and how to shape IT strategy and delivery in order to leverage those technologies
  • Market awareness of key connectivity technology vendors and service providers, including how they are integrated into the customer supply chain to underpin connectivity services and solutions
  • Leading or supporting the development of the necessary contract and commercial arrangements with connectivity suppliers to underpin successful delivery
  • Awareness of network operational support good practices required to underpin effective management of connectivity services
This experience should be underpinned by a background in one or more of the following areas:
  • Experience in design, build and delivery of complex network solutions in hybrid cloud environments (i.e. private and public cloud)
  • Understanding of design patterns, best practice and relevant deployment experience with connectivity solution for Iaas/PaaS/SaaS services
  • Experience of key network concepts or technology to include some of the following - Software Defined Networks (SDN) and example SDN solutions such as SD-WAN, SD-Access, Network Function Virtualisation (NFV), leading cloud unified communications and collaboration toolsets
  • Experience in designing and deploying network automation and orchestration tools to enhance service quality, drive process improvement and increase agility
  • Experience with on-premise and cloud network security services and how they form part of an integrated network security strategy
  • Infrastructure, network security and IOT connectivity approaches
  • Familiarity with industry-recognised methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL)
  • Certification with leading public cloud vendors (e.g. AWS) and/or leading network vendor technology (e.g. Cisco)
  • Relevant experience â€" either consulting or in one or more of the following industries: Financial Services, Public Sector (Central and /or Local and Regional Government, Healthcare and Education), Consumer Goods, Retail, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Energy and Utilities, Telecoms, Media, Technology
