Integration Engineer

A as a system build and integration engineer you will be responsible for bringing together the successful deployment, building and integration of systems into client sites.

A position has become available for the installation, build and integration of software-defined storage and data management solutions purpose-built for Media and Entertainment

As this role will focus on the integration of storage and data solutions, experience with SAN & Storage Array management (RAID etc) is essential

Role Responsibilities

  • Successful deployment of systems into client environments
  • Physical installations (Racking, Cabling)
  • Software configuration (Networking, filesystems and configuration management
  • Liaising with project management teams to ensure deliver of project

Skills

  • Proven experience within Linux, CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu
  • Networking, Routing, DNS, DHCP and Network Security.
  • Other operating systems ,specifically OSX & Windows.
  • Unix Shell Scripting (Bash, Python etc.)
  • SAN & Storage Array management (RAID etc).
  • Racking hardware, Servers, Storage arrays, switches.

Great to haves

  • Knowledge of automation tools (salt)
  • Experience of Samba
  • Understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure.)

Added bonus points for knowledge of the media industry (VFX, Pipeline, post production)

The ideal Software Engineer will have expert knowledge of software design and the development process and will have solid experience of testing and evaluating current applications.

The Role:

  • Design and develop creative and innovative software platforms
  • Create scalable software platforms and applications, and efficient solutions that are unit tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly using continuous integration.
  • Grow existing service platform and network capabilities to handle growth, enabling the provisioning of diagnostic support service to external customers and support internal customers.
  • Examine existing systems, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve workflow, efficiency, service uptime.
  • Plan and execute full software development life cycles (SDLC) for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or information technology
  • 3+ years' experience in engineering software
  • 3+ years' experience (professional and academic) with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular

  • Proven ability to document design processes, including development, tests, analytics, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with rapid/Agile development cycles and continuous integration/deployment
  • Strong scripting and test automation abilities

Disirable Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of relational databases as well as ORM and SQL technologies
  • Working knowledge of machine learning

This position provides the opportunity work as part of a team and shape the future of their innovative product, you will be responsible for contributing to the further design and development of their comprehensive and business saving systems, using their big data analysis, statistics and machine learning experiences.

They will be looking for someone with expertise in deep learning (TensorFlow, Torch), building classifiers, clustering in high dimensions, pattern recognition algorithms and recommender systems. Experience with large datasets and modern data processing systems like Spark, Presto, Drill, Map Reduce will be required and also some experience with software engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).

The successful candidate will have an advanced degree (masters, PhD) in machine learning or a related field and will have some familiarity with both supervised and unsupervised learning using regression and decision trees. The product is built in Python so although it is not essential, software development experience would be beneficial, along with strong machine learning/data analysis experience (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Sklearn, Pandas, DL4J, etc.)
