Data Analyst R programming London City ( Competitive Salary and Benefits Package)

We are seeking a specialist in R programming with experience of developing data solutions within a multinational, matrix organisation for a permanent role within a trade finance company. The right candidate will be ready to transition to head of Data Science and build a group wide Data Science & Analytics department.

Your role will involve creating data visualisations, performing statistical analyses of structured and unstructured data sets, develop the organisation's worldwide data strategies, programming data dashboards using R, R shiny and related data tools & technologies.

Expertise / Experience required:

While it essential for you to have expertise in R statistical programming, any experience of SAS, Shiny, Python, Tableau, is advantageous. Any additional IT / Technology expertise involving solution architect, software engineering, database development, application development in conjunction with your expertise in Data Science / Data Analytics is very desirable.

Requirements

* Degree or Masters qualification in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related (with a focus on programming & Statistical science)

* 2+ years professional experience using R for programming, Data Science, data analysis and data visualization

* Preference for knowledge of Shiny, Rmarkdown, Plotly, Tensorflow

* Experience with large volumes of supply chain management or financial data is advantageous

* Proven working experience with SQL, data analysis and data programming (e.g. SAS, SQL, Hive)

* Strong written & verbal communication skills are essential as you will be meeting with a variety of internal & external stakeholders, covering aspects of research data management and analysis on real world data and data science research projects

  • Programming logic and knowledge in 2 languages (Java, JavaScript, PHP or Python)
