Planning Manager (In Scope of IR35) Leeds £400 - £470 per day 3 months - with likely extension

Your new company
A large organisation with a reach across the UK are looking to recruit a Planning Manager to join them on a large scale programme of work that will likely last in excess of 12 months

Your new role
As Planning Manager you will deliver an effective peer review and internal audit challenge to the Alliance planning function to promote good planning practices as well capturing, monitoring and managing inter-Project dependencies and any other activities not held within Project schedules.

In addition you will be required to build effective working relationships with Project Planners, peers and colleagues within the Programme Team and be willing to foster knowledge sharing, collaboration and learning and development, across projects and sectors

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you should be a seasoned Planning Manager, able to demonstrate your experience in the following areas.

  • Computer literate and conversant with the MS Office
  • Primavera P6
  • Projectwise
  • Presentation Skills
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment with a dedicated approach to meet project deadlines
  • Good written and oral communication and organisational skills
  • Desire to develop existing skills and acquire new technical competencies to enhance personal and team capability
  • Proven enthusiasm to embrace and participate in career development initiatives
  • Self-motivated with the drive to achieve continuous improvement targets
  • Will be required to successfully complete Personal track safety AC (PTS AC)
  • Environmental awareness
  • Good level of understanding of rail systems and the integration between disciplines
  • Good level of understanding of civils design and construction and how it interfaces with rail systems
  • Understanding of rail construction and GRIP phases
  • Collaborative behaviour
  • Excellent communicator
  • Effective upward management
