Your new company
I am recruiting for an arm's length body of a ministerial government department who are going through an exciting period of transformation and growth.

Your new role
I am recruiting for an experienced Solutions Architect who will be a key member of the core team supporting the day-to-day architectural and technical analysis requirements for the programme delivery. They are responsible for producing the required artefacts for current state assessment, gap analysis and development of the target operating model.

They will work closely with the reporting manager and the necessary stakeholders to scope the work, develop and manage the required technical artefacts, and ensure appropriate sign-offs. They will ensure that the proposed solutions meet the overall architectural principles and does not create technical debt. It is worth noting that some of the stakeholder community in this organisation might be resistant to a full architecture framework so it will your job to manage them appropriately in a diplomatic and strategic manor.

What you'll need to succeed

Key accountabilities:

  • Owning the technical requirements gathering process end-to-end with key business stakeholders
  • Develop a current state assessment and identify gaps with a view to developing future state architecture in line with business requirements/ Target Operating model
  • Creating Architecture blueprint documentation Definition of solution architecture design for in scope hardware, modules and functionality including APIs across all transition stages in line with proposed TOM
  • Ensure Solution Design meets MaPS standards and confirms to architectural roadmap and does not create technical debt Ensure that all artefacts produced are ratified by the required governance forums


What are we looking for?

You will have consistent experience as a Solution Designer/Architect or a similar role along with experience in large scale transformation projects. A background working for one of the Big Four or any large consultancy will be highly advantageous as there is no architecture capabilities in place at the moment and so you will have to build it from the ground up. A complete understanding of the software delivery life cycle is a necessity along with a background in industry-standard agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. Experienced in use of industry standard framework such as TOGAF Familiarity with the Atlassian suite including Jira and Confluence Previous experience of managing and communicating with clients.

You will be working with a leading healthcare organisation based in London who are looking to bring a Senior Delivery Manager on board, paying £600 P/D (Inside IR35) for an initial 6-month contract.

Your new role
The Senior Delivery Manager will be responsible for ensuring that their delivery team or teams are adopting and applying the most appropriate lean and agile techniques, using user-centred iterative design and development processes, and are performing effectively. The Senior Delivery Manager will ensure that the team members are motivated, collaborating and working well. They will be responsible for identifying risks, issues, dependencies and other blockers to successful delivery, and helping the team(s) to overcome them. They will focus the team(s) on what is most important to the delivery of the products and services, encouraging and facilitating continuous improvement of the delivery team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Practitioner level knowledge of agile practices, tools, techniques and culture - specifically Scrum and Kanban practices
  • Practitioner level knowledge of delivery metric tracking and effective methods to prioritise and forecast delivery
  • Practitioner level knowledge of task management, workflow or collaboration tools. e.g. Trello, Jira, Confluence, Slack and Miro
