My client is looking for a Data architect to design and data model and fulfil the strategic data needs of the business. You will be required to undertake design, support and provide guidance for the upgrade, management, decommission and archive of data in compliance with data policy.

Essential:

• Data Modelling (HLD and LLD) Conceptual and logical Data Models produced from Business Requirements
• Data blueprints
• Work on Sparx Enterprise Tool

Responsible for:

• Overseeing the design of multiple data models and have a broad understanding of how each model fulfils the needs of the business
• The accountability of the organisation's data strategy
• Championing data architecture across government, and setting the standards and ways of working for the data architecture community
• Providing advice to project teams and oversee the management of the full data life-cycle
• Making sure that organisation's systems are designed in accordance with the data architecture

Experience

• Previous experience of working as a Data Architect
• Previous experience working on Sparx
• Extensive experience around Data Modelling
• Experience of working with both Technical and Non-Technical Teams
• Ability to set Data Standards
• Understands a variety of Metadata Management
• The ability to turn business issues into Data Architecture design
• Data Analysis and Data Governance
• Risk Management
• Experience of working in the Public Sector

You will be working on-site for a digital platform agency who specialise in the financial services with the end client being a multinational investment bank.

You would be working in an agile team delivering technical enhancements to the Asset Management's Fixed Income IT platform. Ultimately reducing complexity and improving stability/ supportability of the platform.

Your experience and skills:

- Excellent core C# and .Net (v3.5+)

- Strong experience with object orientated programming and TDD principles

- Experience with enterprise application; Winforms/WPF, WCf and data integration

• Previous experience of working within an IT team specialising in Risk Management.

Functional / Technical Competencies:

• Visual Basic for Applications (within Excel and Access)
• SQL Server Integration Services
• COGNOS
• PL-SQL Queries
• J-Query
