Job Description Summary
In Group Property we’re using data and insights to drive our decision making and support our strategy. We’re building a team who can help understand our data, generating insights and actions that drive future strategy. The successful candidate will fulfil the role of Data Insights Analyst within the Business & Investment Management function, leveraging Power BI to help drive the function towards the achievement of their key objectives, namely:
Develop our insights capability, bringing together internal and third party data to better understand our business
Leverage the power of data to make better informed decisions about investment, risk, performance and suppliers
Interprets complex data and manages the efficient and effective production of high quality information, analysis and research, anticipating stakeholder needs.

Join us as a Strategic Insights Analyst within Business & Investment Management where you’ll interpret complex data and manage the efficient and effective production of high quality information, analysis and research
What would you get involved with?
You’ll develop our insights capability, bringing together internal and third party data to better understand our business
You’ll leverage the power of data to make better informed decisions about investment, risk, performance and suppliers
Other responsibilities include:
•Design Reporting Dashboards: Work with the Data Insights Lead to design and create reporting dashboards, delivering the insight which underpin the Group Property strategy
•Build Key Metrics: Build the key reporting metrics which have been defined by the Group Property business and Data Insights Lead
•Interpretation of Data: Identify patterns and trends within data sets to unlock opportunities for optimising the Group’s estate. Create forecasts based on existing data controlling for external factors
•Compile Reports: Prepare information for structured and ad-hoc reporting as required
•Define Metrics: Develop an understanding of Group Property’s strategic direction and help to define key metrics that are pertinent to Group Property objectives, such as improving the utilisation of buildings
•Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with the wider team and business stakeholders
•Management of Risks and Dependencies: Identify risks associated with data quality or reporting and highlight these, calling out assumptions and dependencies as necessary.
•Data Capability Maintenance: Maintaining the security, backup & recovery planning, authentication, capacity planning, performance monitoring and troubleshooting of Group Property’s data capability
•Data Profiling / QA: Provide assurance by conducting quality checks on data coming in to the team
What skills and experience can you bring to the role?
To be considered it is essential that you can bring;
- Demonstrable experience of using Power BI to develop reporting capabilities in a commercial environment
- Proven experience of insight generation, and leading the delivery of report design and build
- Knowledge of data and reporting platforms including data ingestion, storage and reporting capabilities
- Strong analytical capability, able to present concepts and evolve ideas through to designs and implementation
- Experience of working in a team of Visual Analytics developers, who will design and build reports and maintain the reports built
- Experience of analytical toolsets including SQL, SSIS and data mart / ETL technologies
It would also be advantageous if you;
- Have the ability to articulate complex information at all levels
- Are a strong creative and conceptual thinker
- Proficient in MS Office
