Your new job title: IT Support Analyst

Your new location of work: Gatwick area, Surrey

Your new salary: up to £22k plus 10% bonus and other excellent company benefits

Job type: Perm or a 12 month FTC

Your main purpose it so to implement the delivery of IS/IT plans and development project(s) to improve business results. To understand and meet the requirements and concerns of customers and deliver a service to meet those needs so to ensure the company retains and increases its reputation within the Industry.

Your Main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the delivery of the companies vision and business plan
  • Ensure the IS/IT operating objectives and standards of performance are followed
  • Work in partnership with the other teams to ensure the overall delivery of IS/IT and objectives
  • Responsible for effective and efficient operational performance across area of ownership.
  • Ownership of the service desk, managing incidents and request in line with defined SLA’s
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly checks of all systems in the IT environment
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating documentation related to area of ownership
  • Ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are complied with at all times
  • Responsible for 1st Line support on business applications, systems, and network infrastructure
  • Continuous Service Improvement - To review issues arisen periodically and suggest possible solutions / improvements so to prevent re-occurrence and maximise service and efficiencies
  • Understand the business processes and requirements of the business
  • Understand the IT business systems
  • Support application implementations from an IT perspective
  • Provide support and assistance on currently implemented systems
  • Support systems change
  • Work with external organisations, suppliers and contractors when required
  • Understand the technology and configuration of existing applications so to maximize usage and minimise inefficiencies
  • Have an understanding of reporting tools (SQL Server Reporting Services / Tableau / ClickSense / Crystal etc)

The skills and experience you need to be successful:

  • Demonstrable understanding of and interest in IT / Technology
  • Knowledge of Networks, Routing & Network Protocols (inc Wireless)
  • Basic understanding of SQL databases
  • An understanding of mobile technology
  • Knowledge of remote access / VPN’s
  • Ability to deliver both pro-active and reactive support to end users.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate data against key indicators, to monitor programmes, projects and plans to set targets.
  • Experience with Office 365 and other related cloud technologies
