Sales Executive - IoT solutions

Remuneration: Base salary £35,000 - £45,000 plus Commission OTE C. £25,000

Territory: Southern UK. Home office located

Sectors: IoT solutions for Intelligent monitoring, communications reporting, analysis and management of Environmental, Legionella, Refrigeration, Smart Cities, Smart Energy Monitoring, Construction, Waste and housing / building facilities management.

  • Our newly appointed Sales & Marketing Director and is looking to expand the field sales team who will be backed up by a the recently hired Business Development team and associated Demand Generation - Marketing team. We are now recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to focus on the Southern region of the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing new business via our channel partners and distributors and also direct new business clients
  • Managing key accounts in the South and any selected National Accounts, and developing them to grow repeat revenue and increase margin through disciplined account management
  • Maximising repeat revenue and margin. Also delivering one-off sales for agreed segments.
  • Contributing to marketing material and presentations, exhibitions, preparing pitches and quotations, distributor training, developing and implementing an account management programme.

KPIs

  • Meeting regular monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Delivering sales against a gross margin target
  • Sales mix: target recurring revenue vs Capital sale: minimum 50% recurring revenue
  • Activity rates, fortnightly client and prospect contact and meetings as agreed with Sales Management
  • Creation and delivery of client development plans for all key accounts
  • Number of new accounts and clients delivered

Skills and Experience:

  • A demonstrable track record in sales in a B2B environment
  • Proven ability in developing a sales pipeline and closing
  • Good account management skills and a track record in developing key accounts
  • Experience of using CRM's and maximising value to the business
  • The hunger, drive and ability to build a high growth business in a short space of time

Location:Territory and Home office location in the South of England.Head office is in the North West and yet the majority of major accounts are located in the Southern half of the country.

Compensation: Base salary to £45,000, OTE £25,000 plus benefits

  • At least 1 year experience of embedded programming utilising multiple peripherals
  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile development processes
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (MSc or equivalent beneficial)
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English - written and verbal
  • Experience of working with configuration control systems and release processes
  • Good working knowledge of C, highly competent in mathematical techniques
  • Experience of operating in ISO 9001 environments and to industry specific standards
  • Experience working hands-on with electronic and mechanical assemblies

Beneficial to have:

  • 1-2 years' experience in Software Engineering
  • Experience of test driven development
  • Good working knowledge of Object Orientated Programming

The successful Junior Embedded Software Engineer will have some industry experience in Embedded Software Engineering environments.
