Contract Senior Data Engineer required outside IR35 // World's first traceability & Blockchain platform - London King's Cross

I'm hiring a talented contract Senior Data Engineer, in partnership with a highly innovative brand with a unique platform.

About my client:

The world’s first peer-to-peer supply chain platform and Blockchain for an awesome, untouched sector.

This is the first platform that can securely track a product across the whole value chain, via the use unique cutting-edge AI and Blockchain technologies that allow users to keep ownership of their data and share it selectively, while still ensuring immutable traceability.

Snapshot:

* Language: Python (senior level)

* DWH: SQL

Requirements

* Solid experience in a similar role as a Data Engineer working on building data pipelines, stream analytics, batch processing and distributed systems within a hybrid cloud/onpremise environment

* Come from a solid software development background with an in depth understand of methdologies & best practices such as TDD, OOP, MicroServices etc

* Excellent programming with Python

* Excellent SQL

* Demonstrable background in Dataflow

Desirable: API Design experience (REST, SOAP etc)

Squads: Backend, FE, AI, Blockchain, Devops, AI, PO's, QA (all onshore)

Squads' Tech stack includes: Python, Blockchain, Rust, React, ES6, AWS, Docker, K8's etc

I'm working with an exciting start-up, backed by an industry giant, who have launched a new and unique AI/Blockchain driven traceability platform.

A highly experienced Devops Engineer is required, with strong Python Development skills, to assist with the build and enhancement of the platform!

Role details/requirements:

  • Explore a variety of Blockchain technologies and be at the fore-front of the devops delivery, across a highly innovative, cutting edge crypto platform, exploring Blockchain technologies for different verticals and use-cases to build niche platforms and solutions.
  • Working closely with AWS Cloud platform
  • Effective communicator with ability to set up and manage communication channels across IT
  • Commercial experience in containerisation and an expert around Docker & Kubernetes
  • Strong Python Development skills
  • Devops environment: AWS, K8's, Helm, related configs
  • Squads: Backend , FE, AI, Blockchain, Devops, PO's, QA (all onshore)
  • Other tech stack includes: Python, Blockchain, Rust, React, Angular, ES6, AWS, Docker, K8's, amongst many other cutting edge technologies

Squads:Backend , FE, AI, Blockchain, Devops, Data, PO's, QA (all onshore)

Tech stack includes: React, ES6+, Python, Blockchain, Rust, AWS, Docker, K8'setc

* Write tests for your own code and use test first approaches (TDD) to develop your code
* Participate in code reviews
* Work on data science and data engineering related programming tasks
* Participate in ScrumBan Ceremonies (e.g. Stand-up, Retro, etc.) and Continuous Improvement activities
* Develop the flask (minimal JavaScript) front-end for the application

Required Skills and Experience
