Contract Java / Web Server Engineer - 20k - 28k AED Monthly + Healthcare

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Big Data Security Architect to join a globally recognised organisation in Dubai.
We are Looking for a seasoned Java engineer who has hands-on configuration and administration experience with application servers. You will be working on Java servers' management and configurations, performance monitoring, capacity management and issue escalation from Operations point of view. You will be supporting the J2EE application servers, working as part of the Web team.

Skills required

*Extensive experience with J2EE application servers - RedHat Jboss EAP, Oracle Weblogic, IBM WebSphere
*Expert knowledge and administration experience with Linux, Windows and AIX
*J2EE Server deployment and management
*Development experience with Java, J2EE, Shell/Python scripting
*Experience with tools like Maven, Gradle, SQL*PLUS, Heap Dump and Thread Dump analysers, Wireshark
*Experience with IBM BPM suite of products, Rules and Event processing, Automation, Oracle/Couchbase Databases, RedHat JBoss DataGrid/Oracle Coherence, SOA
*Deep knowledge and experience with HTTP
*Support on-call teams for operational issues and performance degradation
*Monitoring and performance tracking
*Create and maintain documentation as required
*Knowledge of networking and application protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, mTLS, DNS and WAF (NetScaler/f5)
*Operational experience running a production 24x7x365 infrastructure at scale
*Container management platforms - Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift
*Experience with .Net, MS IIS, hosting solutions, public cloud usage, CI/CD toolset

Graduate with following experience:

• Must possess very strong experience with J2EE Architecture, No SQL Database and Open Source Technologies
• Must be able to produce High level and Low Level designs artifact and seek approval through technical governance forum.
• Must participate or conduct Technical interaction with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Application support and Solutions design stakeholders and recommend patterns and design evolved in the platform.
• Should be able to articulate difficulties in High Level designs produced by Architects.
• Must have the low level designs reviewed with Architects.
• Must have knowledge on APIs and MicroServices
• Must have hands on experience with producing production-quality code and maintenance using J2EE Technologies.
• Must have experience with architecting Cloud based applications (Platform as a Service).

Job Responsibilities:
• To anchor and lead new soultions and conduct POC and interact with the 3rd party vendors.
• Work with business to prepare blueprint and present them to get it approved
• Contribute to quality assurance for the APIs and integrations built in terms of performance optimization and design reviews
• Should have experience in troubleshooting of real time issues.
• Anchor, lead, coordinate and manage software architect activities across multiple projects
• Engage with all the Key stakeholders from client organization and multiple vendors to understand the scope and estimate the projects
• Work with client or senior management to establish and clarify the aims, new IT projects objectives and requirements of the IT projects;
• Coordinate and supervise the activities of the project/programme team

Willing to travel in UK, Europe or India including possible secondment to undertake project work

  1. Develop and maintain FX options pricing system based on the functionalities available in the FX analytics library to be used globally by FX options business.
  1. Ensure well tested and robust implementation of new functionalities and ensure efficient release process for new versions of the software.
  1. Ensure robust connection of the front office FX options pricing systems, FOX and Muse, with Risk Engine/ FCO blotter trades database to allow downloading of the live trades into the pricing system and, at a later stage, live book valuation results from the Risk Engine, Jetstream, for some market data feed, such as FX forwards and FX volatilities from the vol aggregator
