Our client works alongside other large and well established organisations. They use some of the most advanced technology and are passionate about what they do.

  • Exeter - 6 month initial contract
  • £700 per day inside IR35 (umbrella rate)
  • Lead Developer - Java / Python

The successful Lead Developer will be running a new team and will help develop the team through coaching and mentoring, will help improve processes and reduce the time needed to get to production through embedding continuous integration and ensuring automated testing is in place.

The Successful Developer should have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Demonstrable programming experience in Java or Python.
  • Experience using cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience leading development teams, both remotely and on site
  • Ability to discuss practices, such as refactoring, TDD and pair programming, and their benefits

Monitor and improve sandboxes/cloud test environments - seeking improvements from stakeholders and the industry.

Contribute to develop and code highly innovative technical projects & work closely with suppliers code and open source.

Monitor & research tech trends in financial & digital inclusion, collaborate with other team members to produce and publish insights for the industry i.e. webinars, papers, blogs.

Support the Technology Lead in the delivery of technical innovation projects.

Skills & experience:
