We are currently working with a multi-national provider of equipment, systems and software to the food processing industry that is looking for a Software Process Engineer to join their team in Birmingham.

This is a technical role that will see you using your understanding of SQL to configure the software platform in line with the clients needs and ensure effective deployment of solutions in to their respective business.

The Software Process Engineer will also be responsible for the delivery of on-site technical services in additiona to remote support for clients.

Key Responsibilities;
  • Technical configuration and deployment of software
  • Involvement in the client-onboarding process (discussing solutions with client’s internal IT departments)
  • Technical specification documentation
  • Acting as level 2-3 support for both internal and external technical issues
  • Provision of training for customers (and internal staff)
  • Involvement in the software development process, providing input and support
  • Creation of training resources
  • On-Site delivery of services/solutions to customers
  • Identification of potential add-ons, modifications, maintentance and upgrades that would add value to the service provided to clients
  • Ensure SLA’s are adhered to
 

Required Skills

Client Population Quality Analyst

As a Client Population Quality Analyst, you will be actively involved in defining the derivation of the in-scope client population to remediate for a number of complex projects, within the Customer Portfolio Programme. Your role is critical to allowing project teams to commence remediation, as the ability to do this is conditional on Quality Assurance sign off which is essential to meeting objectives. You will need experience of SQL (Sequel) and Teradata to interrogate and analyse data, together with the business analysis skills to translate a business problem to a technical solution.

This is a 6 month contract with possible extension

What will you be doing?

• Managing Project analysis artefacts and proficiency in assessing the appropriateness of the data sources used as the basis for deriving an in-scope client population
• Expert knowledge in assessing the appropriateness and application of the filters applied to the source data to derive the in-scope client population
• Creating detailed written advanced quality assurance reports judging the work performed and overall conclusions as required by the Portfolio
• Confidently demonstrate exceptional knowledge to challenge views that contradict outcomes from Project Directors and crucial teams in the business

What we’re looking for:

• Comprehensive Previous experience of working with data, including database management (SQL, OLAP etc.) and data analytics products, such as ACL, Tableau
• Proven experience working with data warehouses in financial institutions (Data Warehousing, Data Mart, OLTP and ODS)
• Experienced with gathering requirements, data analysis, and demonstrating solutions with excellent documentation skills

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Working knowledge of a complex Financial Services environment and correlation between clients and the front to back office processes in use
• Ability to handle change in a dynamic fast moving environment with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
