Working with an innovative start-up in the Retail Tech space, a Technical Lead is required to join the team - having initially been founded abroad, the company have settled on growth in London to be close to their end users. As such, most developers are overseas, giving you the chance to grow the London office from 4 to 20 over the next 12-24 months.
The company have built their name on industry-leading Retail Technology systems, having partnered with some major household names. The Technical Lead role will have ownership over the core systems that are being built, as well as customer integrations.
As a Technical Lead, you'd report directly into the CTO, assisting her with architectural decisions, as well as pushing best practice. As the team grows, you'll have the chance to take on more pastoral work as well, while still remaining close to the developers.
You can be as hands-on as you want - the company code predominantly in Python and React, with native mobile technologies, but advocate a Polyglot approach - they use the right tool for the job.
So what will you have experience in to be right for this Technical Lead job?
- You will have worked as a Senior/Principal Developer and be confident with a range of technologies and languages.
- You will manage a team in some capacity - be in technical leadership with one or two others, or general management of a larger team.
- You'll have an entrepreneurial mindset and be confident shaping product development.
- As the CTO is based overseas, you'll be providing all technical leadership in London, alongside the CEO.
