Quinton Davies are seeking a Lead Developer to join a dynamic and innovative business based in Central Bath.

In order to apply for the position of Lead Developer you will need demonstrable experience of:

  • C#, .NET / .NET Core, SQL (TSQL), MVC / Razor, WCF services, Web API's, MS Workflow, Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript, Angular JS
  • Agile/SCRUM environments
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Passion to learn within AI (Cognitive Services)

This role is located in Bath, Wiltshire. There are a lot of advantages to be had relocating to Bath including beautiful scenery and architecture, a vibrant array of festivals and parties. According to Zoopla the average house price in Bath is circa £200k less than London! Finally a train journey from Bath to London is less than 1.5 hours!

In return our client are able to offer a competitive salary dependent upon experience.

    • Work within an Agile team to design, develop, and maintain our enterprise applications, e-learning portals, and web services with PHP on a mix of in-house and off the shelf frameworks and tools
    • Apply sound software design patterns and industry standard conventions
    • Design, build, and optimise database systems to support the above applications and services
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
    • Build client and management reports and tools
    • Maintaining a high quality code base, documenting code as you develop

Technical Stack Required

  • Strong development experience with structured and object-oriented PHP

  • Excellent analysis and design skills

  • Raw SQL writing and optimization, especially with MySQL
  • Strong attention to code quality and readability
  • High awareness of performance, scalability, and security considerations
  • Source code management with Git
  • Good Hands-on experience on the LAMP stack
  • HTML, CSS 2/3, JavaScript, jQuery, and DOM manipulation
  • Excellent understanding of object-oriented design patterns
