Some of the key responsibilities for this Datawarehouse Architect will include the following tasks.

Work collaboratively within a global team spanning 4 continents.

Sit in on daily meetings between London and New York.

Help to provide hands?on development using SQL Server

project managers, business analysts and development lead liaison,to assist in the build of a strategic reporting solution.

Develop, test, and integrate code for existing data warehouse development in compliance with client wide data management principles and security controls.

Data integration documentation strategies for data flows between disparate source/target systems for data warehouse

Use SSIS, T-SQL, or dynamic SQL to create packages to load data from source systems to stage to DWH

Follow standard delivery methodology from Development, Testing, UAT and Production.

Assist with and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

 

To qualify for this role we require the following core Skills:
Minimum 6 years strong hands on development experience in SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) development, scripting development, error checking, performance tuning, job scheduling, and deployment methodology.

Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL Server database development such as SQL, XML, function, procedure, indexes, table partition, and query optimization.

Solid experience in large complex 1TB + data warehouse environment and strong knowledge in ETL and data warehouse methodology.

Must be able to understand the project development life cycle
Advanced skills and experience with data modelling and enterprise data marts.

Have an awareness of modern data warehouse design and Erwin Data Modeler

It will be advantageous to have awareness of Cloud technology

Also useful to understand the concepts of C#, Javascript and or ASP.net
Must be a good team player and can work autonomously
Ability to work in agile and fast pace environment
Must have experience of large, complex blue-chip enterprise, ideally Banking
